We usually stop for an ice cream or a drink after walking or biking on the trail. The Lighthouse has a great deck with a wonderful view of the St John River and the boat club. For $2 you can walk up to the top deck to get a better view and a little history on the way up. The... More

This place is really just a BBQ burger / hot dog restaurant plus beer and ice cream. Very nice patio to sit on overlooking the river. Burger was great. Great choice of craft beer, cider and mead. We didn't go up the top of the lighthouse as the view from the deck is very similar.

After having a poor first experience here a month ago, I decided to give it another try. It wasn't busy, but after 40 minutes of waiting for our hamburgers to cook we had to return to work without lunch.

It was super hot going up so access to the exterior stairs would have been better. There were a few missing photos on the wall but the history write ups were very interesting. Probably didn't have to charge $2 to go up.

Classic tourist trap. Some of our group were craving coffee and thought we would also have some lunch. We first were told that they dont sell coffee, and since we could hear other tables negative comments about their food we just decided to have a pop.No glass/straw/ice,just an unopened can ($2.50) dropped down in front of us.Seems very unorganized and mostly a bunch... Very disappointed, we didn't realize the lighthouse was just a restaurant. Additionally it a tiny overpriced restaurant. You can go to the top but they ask for a donation according to the waiter....a donation towards what you may ask?? I have no idea Not sure why this place is advertised everywhere as being a top Fredericton attraction

It's a restaurant with a Lighthouse and museum. All donations to climb to the top are given to the Fredericton SPCA. More

The Lighthouse on the Green is a critical point in the downtown river walk network of Frederiction. It is an attractive landmark that offers some excellent evening drinks and treats. There are also good meals served on location for those who wish to have a nice dinner on the deck while enjoying a nice day/evening on the river. The ice... More

Although not a working lighthouse, they sell wonderful ice cream with lots of choice and really good value. At a small charge you can go up the lighthouse with various interesting historical things to look at on the way up, and interesting activities for children and once at the top there are lovely views across the river. Well worth a... More

The Saint John River has an unusually high number of inland lighthouses; although the Lighthouse on the Green has never been a true beacon of safety. However, it's light does work. It's a GREAT place to enjoy the view of this magnificent river next to the walking trail. You can also visit the top of the lighthouse for a bird's-eye... More

Great place to visit on a nice clear night, close to all the places downtown, and the walking trail makes for a great evening out!
