Went to this island with a friend. It's a fun ride by a very comfy and nice ferry. 1.5 hours it takes. Hint: take your car. There's many beautiful spot to go and walking is kinda impossible if you don't have much time.
A little island paradise with beautiful beaches, people and places to discover. The Saturday Market, Breakfast On The Hill, Karen’s mini donuts and ice cream, whale watching, the Swallowtail Lighthouse, free Ferry to White Head Island, restaurants, supermarket, hospital, bank, hardware store, pharmacy and liquor...More
Beautiful island, with a good touristic offer (B & B, few hotels, Inns, and 2 nice campings, few restaurants) ... and not so many tourists ; a great place. We stayed at the Hole-in-the-wall camping, and it's a great place for tent camping : on...More

Just visited Grand Manan for 4 days (3 nights camping at Hole in the Wall Campground). Wonderful trip. The 1.5 hour ferry was smooth (no whale sightings as we were a little early--more whales after the middle of July). Camping worked well for us. On...More
The good and the bad.
The ferry was very easy except I had to call as there seemed to be problems with their on line booking. Boarded easily and was there within the time frame. The ferry ride was nice, accommodating and has a restaurant...More
