I would argue that Royal MTC is the premier regional theatre in Canada. It offers world class production values in its productions. I say this having seen a goodly number of Broadway and London West End theatre productions and having talked with a number of actors who have tread the boards on Broadway and who have also worked at Royal MTC.

We have recently moved to Wpg and live in the exchange district and wanted to experience a show. As it is sounded like a great one to start with and it did not disappoint! The actors were amazing and the Beatles songs that they performed were done exceptionally well! I would highly recommend this show to anyone!!!

The current production running at Manitoba theatre centre is a delight - from 20 minutes prior to the start of the production, proper, all the way to its end. I was hesitant at first to purchase tickets for “As you Like it” simply because I was not already familiar with the plot line. Well, I am so glad I was not deterred by that fact! The show was lively, fast paced, delightfully funny, and beautifully staged. The performers are a actors, singers, and multi instrumentalists. I have seen shows before which were touted as showcasing such diversely capable performers but usually one aspect was sacrificed. Not so in this case. The Shakespearean script was used and slightly tweaked to make it engaging and well- paced. The inclusion of numerous Beatles songs was simply the icing on the cake. A joyful experience for the audience, to be sure. Just remember to arrive early enough to experience the wrestling. Yes, wrestling.

I have been a faithful MTC season ticket holder for a number of years now, with occasional attendance in prior years. Without fail, I am highly entertained, prompted to contemplative consideration of social issues and values, or given to spontaneous laughter that I can call up at a later time with the recollection of a scene or script. I won't forget the props in the Robin Hood performance of a few years back. I wanted to slide down the green hills myself and relearn some cartwheels I hadn't done in about 50 years!

The talent was phenomenal - from the bartenders, door staff and ushers to the lighting, sound, props, background, actors, signers, costumes, etc.! The night went so fast that I could not believe the evening was over! Messages coming out of this play were clear and showed how much society has evolved but also how much more it has to go!

Felt like I was sitting at the cottage by the lake last night when I went to the theater to see the play "The Cottage". Performance was great - the set was extraordinary and the atmosphere was jovial and a relaxed atmosphere during intermission, which is what going to the cottage is supposed to be. Highly recommend for people who will enjoy a light and true story about cottage owners with reality and comedy thrown into it.

Thanks to Jake MacDonald and his realistic take on the family cottage my husband may actually take in another theatre performance.
Reluctant to go see live theatre, my husband and his friends laughed, related and may have even had a tear in their eye at the end.
This heartwarming performance provided every audience member a look into their own cottage lives. I’m sure there wasn’t one person in the house that couldn’t relate to the family dynamics portrayed on the stage.
The set design was incredible and the actors made the set come to life.
Well done Jake!!
This play is a must see!

I just got home from the Matinee Performance of BoomX at MTC in Winnipeg. I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised about the performer/writer who took the stage. It was really good. Funny, great music, and the show moved along at a very rapid pace. Musical performances are excellent. Time travels by way of multimedia up to 1995, featuring classic characters from BOOM (including Elvis, John Lennon and former U.S. president Ronald Reagan). But the focus shifts from Miller's mother's story to his own, following gen-Xers as they navigate the world.Use of video and multimedia was very informative and on point. This is a performance worth attending, if not in Winnipeg for the next two weeks then somewhere in your neighbourhood in the future and he is taking this on the road.

As regular season ticket holders for the past 10 plus years at The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre we were fortunate to experience a play March 9th 2019 at the Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver. We were able to compare facilities and plays as we had seeen the play "Come From Away" at the RMTC during the 2018 season. I have no words to explain how wounderful both plays were but the experience in the RMTC was elevated due to the quality of the facility. Well done!

We weren’t really sure what to expect when we got tickets for It’s a Wonderful Life as it was a Radio version. Let me tell you it was amazing!!! Everyone, especially the sound effects guy were so impressive!! It was a believable heartwarming rendition of the story, my heart melted. I highly recommend the venue especially for amazing performances such as this!
