We visited to see the plane but we were more intrigued by the polar bears walking on the ice on the Hudson Bay. The plane was decorated by a few nice murals. Worth a quick visit and photo.

A Plane is often the only way to supply remote locations, and the Miss Piggy was in that business. Taking off she lost an engine (also probably overloaded) and crashed trying to get back to the airstrip. Somehow the pilot put the plane into a...More

An interesting visit to this location and tried to get an understanding of the reason for its title. Quite a laugh and glad it has been utilised for a purpose. Fun

We visited this plane wreck as part of the Michael Bertelsen Polar bearplacphotography tour. It is a nice plane wreck which has been redecorated. A bit of distance from town. You can walk astound it to take photos especially during the sunset. Nice silhouette.

Interesting find, get the local guide to explain about it. Colourful graffiti painted on the side. Keep your distance, Polar bears may be around.

.. so unfortunately we were not allowed to roam for fear of the danger of this bear. Amazing that the 3 crew were not killed when this plane crashed

We visited this site during the tour we had on our recreation day. The whole plan is painted as part of a theme which runs through the whole town. It is interesting especially when you hear the story behind it.

The C-46 cargo plane can be seen as part of the Churchill town tour. This plane crashed here in 1979; everyone on board survived the crash. It is an interesting stop -- besides graffiti, the plane is pretty much intact
