Great afternoon out visiting Dave Daley and his 37 dogs. The dogs are obviously very well looked after and Dave is very passionate about them and his sport. The actual dog sledding was surprisingly exhilarating!

Dave is passionate towards his dogs and the dogs feel the same way about him. This was an experience we will never forget. We are so glad to see dog sledding tradition being kept alive. Dave has every detail worked out-from the snow conditions, to a specially designed sled, to the trail itself--and all with care and safety for both... More

I always thought the dogs were kept in harsh conditions. I don't know about ask dog outfits. But this one loves every dog in their yard. The sled ride was awesome. A not to miss adventure

This really is something I never thought I would do because as an animal lover I thought I would find it cruel, but once I met Dave and saw his dogs and realized his love and connection and the amount of care he provides his dogs I was sold. No snow. No problem. Dog carts are the alternative. It was... More

We visited the dog sled facility as part of the Frontier's North tour. Thought it would be a "filler" event. Turned out to be one of highlights, with an interesting presentation and a great "Ididamile" dog sled ride.Ye-haw....

We had a fantastic morning with Dave Daley, his dogs and the rest of his team. The dogs are obviously very well looked after and loved by all. Dave is a very charismatic guy with lots of stories to tell! Like most people we did the ididamile but dress warmly! There is hot chocolate and a cabin to warm up... More

1 mile-long dog sled ride led by six dogs. Lasts about 10-15 minutes. Dress warmly. Modified dog sled that's different than the traditional dog sled. Rides 2 people per sled. The front person is in a seated position and the second person is standing. The driver stands behind the second person. The sled usually goes on wheels in October due... More

My second time on this tour. Dave Daley, a Metis man, is a true Canadian icon and quite a character, full of stories. They treat their dogs really well. A very interesting experience. They have a great gift shop as well.

This was a great experience overall. Was good to hear about the dogs and how they are looked after. The dog sled ride (on wheels because not enough snow for the sled) was great fun but would have been even better if it was longer. There was plenty of time to spend time with the dogs afterwards and see the... More

Dave is passionate about his dogs and sledding. His presentation about racing, his dog-centered philosophy, and his respect for his team is enthralling. And the dogs clearly LOVED to get hitched up to the carts and run! Each vehicle, pulled by 6 dogs, took two people from our group, plus the Wapusk driver, on a one-mile trail through the boreal...
