My son and I came here skiing, and we had a good time. There are lots of runs for each level of skier. We enjoyed using the CAA discount for lift passes. It is a busy place, but there was never a long wait for the chairlift. There were lots of learners all over the place, and it was a... More

We were nervous about making the 4hr drive from Winnipeg. Would it be worth it? YES. As we pulled up, I admittedly gasped at how small it initially looked. BUT! Then we turned a corner and realized we were at the a top of a ski valley which looked awesome. We had a full day of skiing and snowboarding, with... More

We visited this resort for the first time on recommendations from a friend, what a surprise! The setting for this ski and family resort is breathtaking overlooking a river running into the Lake of the Prairies. A well designed, affordable, family focused winter playground that has something for everyone of all ages, even non skiers. The staff all had a... More

A great day for a family or group of friends.....3 chair lifts, bunny hill with moving sidewalk to ride up, and tubing......this ski facility has it all. reminds us of going to the mountains to ski. The facility is excellent with great food options, good amount of indoor seating, lounge, big screen TV's, great gift shop, automated spa!!. There are... More

This hill has numerous runs from the snow tubing hill up to a black diamond. there are a number of chair lifts, t-bar and a conveyor type belt for the bunny hill beginners. The runs are relatively short compared to the mountains but for the prairies it is a good place to keep you ski legs on!

A true family adventure - it does not matter whether you are a pro or a very beginner - the resort is a must for everyone. The site is first class and staff at the facility fantastic. Staying at the Rusell Inn in town and driving to the resort is a must. The hotel is brilliant beyond words, clean, cosy... More

This is my second visit to Asessippi Ski Resort. For Manitoba, it's the best one around. Too bad it is 4 hours away from Winnipeg. Take the Yellowhead Highway from Winnipeg. Ski Lifts: Not bad but some of the benches have very little padding. The chairs scoop you up but it really doesn't spit you out at the end. The... More

The only other places I've skied are Holiday Mountain in La Riviere (south of Winnipeg) and Frostfire in North Dakota, both of which have a few short runs. So for me, who has never skied real mountains (it's on the bucket list), this was a step up. There were a fair number of people from Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan who... More

Asessippi is a good ski area with a variety of runs and three chairlifts. I have been here many times in the past and this time I encountered powder. I guess I just lucked out with my days but for 1.5/2 skiing days I had fresh powder. You're probably saying "Powder in Manitoba? Really?" It was quite the experience, otherwise... More
