This is the ideal place to camp when visiting Winnipeg. It is about a 30 minute drive to downtown and is so much better than parking lot type RV parks. The sites are trees and with complete hookup will cost about $30 including daily park...More

Until now, I have never been camping before in my life; it just seemed like something fun to try with the grandchildren this summer. We live in Winnipeg so chose Birds Hill because it’s close. We went twice, for 2 nights each time, once in...More

We hiked the Esker trail which was not too difficult of a hike. There are many different trails to choose from in the park. The trails could be marked a little better. Watch out for poison ivy as well. At only $5 to get into...More

The Pine Ridge Self Guiding Trail is an easy multi terrain trail that was perfect for the time we had to hike. It was wonderful to walk through the historical home/land/Trail & learn about Manitoba Pioneer Families. The Lookout was a beautiful & colourful view...More

The Park is 8,300 acres in size [about 35 km2] and is named after the first speaker- Dr. Bird- in the Provincial Legislature. Much of the land was expropriated from 150 farmers. Due to the (slight) elevation, this area also served, many decades ago, as...More

We really liked this location. The pod areas for campers were nice because you felt like a smaller campground than it is. It was close to bike ride to the lake area. Everything was clean and neat. We stayed for an overnight but we can...More

Bird's Hill park is a great destination for spring cycling. I went with my grandchildren, ages 5 and 8. The bike path from the beach to the campground is an easy pedal, wide, paved and no cars. There are two great structures at the beach...More

The trail around the campground was really beautiful and the fact that it was only a 20 min drive into the city was great!

We enjoy the variety of trails. They are very basic but the shelter of the trees is nice and the couple of washrooms appreciated. Especially like being able to go into Birds Hill Ranch restaurant before or after a ski. Grooming is sufficient.
