We don't have wee kids, but for those travelling, there is a little play ground.
We spent hours in the weekday evenings playing frisbee with our teenage kids. Weekend was much busier - had entertainment and special guests. Beautiful sunrise views over the mountains.

It is a nice enough village square with a great outdoor auditorium for concerts, but in late July 2021, the large and excellent kids playground was literally packed with kids from all over the Province and beyond, playing and having a ball while their unmasked parents gathered closely enjoying the good weather. No sanitization possible. It was horrifying from a Public Health view point. If this play area is not the center of at least one superspreader event this summer it will be only by luck

We stopped by in Whistler Village only for 2 hours, walk around and get familiar with the place. It’s absolutely magical in fall. With all the colors and lights, cute shops and restaurants. I would definitely love to come again and again to see more.

We made a day trip to Whistler from Vancouver just to hang out and enjoy life in the ski village.
The buzz and atmosphere felt like any other ski village despite the miserable weather.
In the main square itself, there’s a plaque of all the paralympian medalists from the 2010 games and also the Canadian medalists which helps add a special feeling to the village.

There wasn't much going on in the plaza during our stay, however it is a pretty area with a playground and a large grassy area good for kids and dogs to run around. It's a nice place to sit if you have some take-out food. The entire village is beautiful, and there are the Olympic rings which make for great photos.

If you want to take a picture with Olympic Rings come here to this Plaza. Open 24h/365 days a year. They look great in the winter and in the summer. It is kind of the center of the town (although it feels like it is the north end of the town...). There is also more to see here: Olympic flame, totems and more...

...an area especially in the fall. This was my final stop on the Sea to Sky Highway up from Vancouver. Lots of great restaurants and shops all around here. Roamed around a bit and looked at the Olympic monuments and info. I would love to come back to this beautiful place and town and spend more time than the few moments I did.

I still remember the Olympics like it was yesterday and this brings back so many memories. The Olympics rings still shine through this great province.

Great winter destination, we had luck to have some heavy snowing in early january, many options of restaurants, gift shops, and stores.
If you drive, be prepared with chanis, or snow tires; if not, be ready to be stuck, altought for sure someone will help you out.
