The start of the hike is in the carpark at the end of a long unpaved track. The hike is relatively flat with not a lot of elevation. Nice hike to do on an easier day. Once you reach the lake you can go as...More

Long ascent on a steep rocky road to the parking lot and trailhead. About 11 km round trip. Took us about 3 hours which included the hour at the top admiring the views. Wow.

It is a 5 hour hike (both ways) but the views are spectacular. You need to take the very rustic 6km dirt road to the parking lot trailhead. Drive slowly, you will see why. Park the car and hit the trail. After 60 minutes of...More

Great easy hike. One of the biggest lakes I have hiked to. It is beautiful and serene. There is camping here but you have to schedule that with some organization for a pass. Easy for even a novice hiker

We drove for 30 minutes at 15km/h on a gravel road before reaching the parking lot and start of the hiking trail. The trail takes approximately 4 hours (2h + 2h), but it is fairly easy, accessible to families with kids, and totally worth it....More

our group of 6 hiked this easy, but long trail. The terrain changed from sunny meadows, to woodsy forest, to lakeside and riverside views. Plan for a full 5 hours!

Super easy hike/walk for those who want amazing views but don't have to work hard for it. Bring some lunch and eat at the end of the trail by the beach area.

This is an easy, flat hike with high ROI. That's Return on Investment, since it's pretty much completely flat and you get to see the beautiful river and Cheakamus Lake fairly quickly in. You can hike a little or a lot, depending on how you're...More

This is an easy walk through a slightly sinister forest (think Lord of the Rings) to an attractive lake. Not the best walk since the view is obstructed by trees, but nevertheless worth doing. The drive up requires mentioning: easy for those who are experienced...More

Not really. I wouldn't advise a stroller on any unpaved path. I would suggest putting your child in a front pack or backpack (depending on age) and having a great time that way!
