Not sure why I thought this was a good idea for my 13 year old daughter and I but I'm glad we did it! Amazing experience that is both taxing and exhilarating all at the same time. Having never done anything like this it was a bit outside my comfort zone but awesome to make it to the top scaling... More

Maya our guide was friendly and provided the right balance between instruction and letting people climb. This was a challenging few hours of hard work but the views and enjoyment made it an absolute essential part of any outdoor experience in Whistler.

We booked this trip without doing too much research. Looking back, maybe this was good, because the tour was challenging and we might have chickened out... But this was just amazing. The climb, the view, the feel, the nature, crossing the snow fields in summer and climbing all the way to the top. And for the kids to pull this... More

My Mom, sister and I completed the Via Ferrata tour with Mia during the Wanderlust Festival in July. None of us had any climbing experience and we had the time of our lives! There were definitely spots that didn't have the ladder rungs which at first were a little scary, but became fun as we gained confidence with Mia's guidance.... More

I highly recommend Mountain Skills Academy to anyone looking for any sort of outdoor mountain adventure whether rock climbing or mountaineering! I was in Whistler visiting my sister for her 21st and decided to test our abilities with the "Blackcomb Ascent" and it was well work the adventure. Not only did we have incredible service from Laura, Jill and Sarah... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Via Ferrata tour. Our guide, Dan O`Keefe, was amazing, especially with our young twins, age 8. The tour was challenging but truly enjoyed by all our family. Definitely it was the highlight or our trip.

I absolutely loved the three hour climb up the Via Ferrata. I am a bit afraid of heights (actually, a lot!), but being harnessed in and clipped onto the side of the mountain at all times really helped me feel confident and enjoy the crazy views and a new way to challenge myself physically. I have already recommended this activity... More

We did the Whistler Peak Via Ferrata and it was outstanding. Dan and Patrick were our guides and they made us feel safe, outfitted us with gear and showed us that we were capable of climbing a mountain bigger than we ever dreamed. This was hands down the most amazing thing we've ever done. I still can't believe the pictures... More

This is a great adventure with amazing views overlooking Howe sound. My husband, 15-year-old daughter, and I were led by our guide, Gavin. He was very knowledgeable about the area and a lot of fun! We did the Via Ferrata Whistler a couple of years ago, and we found the Squamish route to be easier and a shorter climb, but... More

This was an incredible experience and an absolute must do for anyone seeking adventure in BC. I've never climbed before and this was the best way to experience it in a safe way but was still challenging. Our guide was wonderful, the views were spectacular and the experience is unforgettable.
