Green Lake —named for its vibrant emerald hue—is a popular recreation area for activities such as canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The glacier-fed lake, surrounded by mountains, makes for a great picnic spot too. It is the largest lake in the Whistler area and is located along the Sea to Sky Highway, just north of Whistler Village

Amazing lake and of the best sites to take photos showing the clear green colour of the lake . Even driving around the lake makes your mood to be relaxed and peaceful.

We had originally planned to walk to Green Lake from Whistler, but with the continued rain, weather didn't permit it. On our way back to Vancouver, our AMAZING guide Tim from Landsea Tours & Adventures took us to the best spot. Seeing a 'green' lake was a must see for us, and this beautiful Lake did not disappoint. The spot Tim took us to, had beautiful reflections, the perfect mix of autumn and snow! Highly recommended as a must see of Whistler.

The lake us glacier fed & beautiful .. the hike was pretty easy & a great day to do it. There was just my husband & I and hardly anyone else on the trail, nice when you want to get away. Not spectacular but worth the few hrs. It takes to complete

The lake is truly beautiful but there are not many spots to stop by and see it. We were driving along it, and we found only one spot to stop, which was very small so you can’t really walk around.

This time of year it is hit and miss walking around the lake due to weather - rainy, cold. If you have the right walking gear and layer up [don't forget a camera of some sort, though a phone is ok too] you will be fine.

I got a courtesy shuttle from my hotel to the golf club and started walking around from there. I got about half way and the weather started to turn nasty so I headed back again. [I walked for about an hour, then turned back].

What I had the privilege of photographing until then was a change in clouds, sky and lighting. The trees are golden this time of year making the shots extra lovely.

You may meet lovely locals around there. Thanks to the lady [with her cute dog] for taking shot of me.

Wasn't exactly green as its name suggests, but like many lakes the higher up you are the clear it is to see colours.

There is also access to the sea plane from there, but it was also closed the day I was there. The golf club was also quiet and the main restaurant there closed until closer to December.

It is the largest and most beautiful lake in the area, with colors that vary from deep green to emerald green. The cycle path and walk that embrace it are beautiful
