I have been to Planet Bee several times and have brought family when they were visiting. I also took my Son. We have always had excellent customer service. I enjoy all of their products but mainly buy the honey. I buy the three small containers of honey that come in a box.

This place is nice to visit to buy bee products and learn about bees. The facts about bees will amaze you. We were under the impression we could view active operations, bee hives, etc. and attend a tour or session but they are only run on weekends. The business should run

Responded Sep 4, 2019
Hello MELISSA125, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Planet Bee, we are happy that you found the bee facts amazing! We are sorry that your expectations were not fully met or exceeded and would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few of the points you mentioned: 1) Our educational presentations (which we are extremely careful not to advertise as a 'tour') are in fact run Daily, 3 times a day, in July & August; we are very sorry if you were misinformed. In September and June, when the kids are back in school, we run the presentations on weekends only, as you mention. Perhaps you visited us in early September and not August as your review indicates? Either way, the information should have been provided to you in a clear and succinct manner and we apologize if we dropped the ball. 2) We DO have about 8 beehives on our property and bee-friendly gardens you can walk through, I am sorry this was not made available to you when you visited, it is meant to be offered to all visitors when they are greeted. 3) Although our honey extraction does not take place on site (it would only happen for about 5 weeks/yr anyway), we do bottle our honey and label each jar by hand. Unfortunately, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) guidelines prevent us from bringing visitors into our honey pouring area, as it must follow strict standards of hygiene as I am sure you understand. I hope you have a chance to visit us again and check out our Bee-Friendly Gardens, beehives, and take in one of our Educational Presentations! We will go over our greeting procedures with staff to prevent future miscommunications. Thank you, Planet Bee

Besides great honey and mead (a wine made from honey) it’s got a cut away of a working hive. Something few people have seen. Also their staff are quite knowledgeable so it is both entertaining and educational to adults and kids alike

I was amazed with the variety of honey on display. Great to learn about the importance of bees and they do have a passion towards sharing that knowledge. The shop sells all teh varieties of honey, cosmetics, candles etc
