- Brad S12 contributionsVernon's best free entertainment!Always a great place to visit and take the grandkids. Fun, free play activities and animals ( goats and donkeys) to feed. Tractor rides through the family orchard are fun and informative. Great selection of local products to buy as well.We really appreciate your comment! We are happy to share our farm, that's why we don't charge entrance fees: we want the children of our community to be able to play free and safe in an outdoor place, to grow up surrounded by nature. - Christian MCopenhagen, Denmark6,223 contributionsDelicious produce from a professionally run farmDavison Orchard is a quaint and kitschy place, selling nostalgia and delicious produce in abundance. The place is set up like a tiny Western village with shops, a bakery, a coffee bar, and not much else. We took a few nice photos, bought applewood-smoked bacon and homemade sausages, as well as a box of beautiful cherries, and then we were on our way. But why not stay for a cup of coffee and a slice of freshly baked apple pie...?Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at the farm! We're glad you enjoyed your time here. Based on what you wrote, I can appreciate that you didn't ride the Orchard Tour, which leaves every 45 minutes, or pet and feed our barn animals, or eat a Royal Fruit ice cream! You are more than welcome to come back and fully experience Davison Orchards.Written August 6, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 5, 2024
- Karen S1 contributionA great place to bring visiting friends and family! As a Vernon local I love Davison Orchards. This is my go-to spot to bring visiting friends and family. My favourite treats are the peach pie and the apple-anche slushies but the fresh local produce is awesome too.Hello Karen! Thank you very much for your comment. We are very honored that the locals recommend us and also enjoy the farm (and it's treats!). - ic7_2000Vancouver, Canada948 contributionsA place for family and childrenThis is part of my trip to Vernon and Kelowna. The Village was fantastic. The staff were nice and helpful. We asked about the choice of jam and butter, and they helped us select the most suitable ones. Whenever a staff member did not know the answer, they would ask a colleague and provide us with a quick, accurate response. The fruits (apples, watermelon), huge garlic, and carrots were very fresh. I enjoyed the iced apple juice and freshly made apple pie. My kids had a great time seeing the lovely animals such as goats, cats, and horses. They also had fun with a plastic small duck toy competition game, where the ducks raced along a water pipe. The kids made the water flow to propel the duck toys. I highly recommend this place.Thank you very much for your review! We are very happy to see that you enjoyed your visit. We are local and visit Davison at least once per month that they are open. We love picking up a jug of fresh squeezed apple juice or eating at the little cafe. I prefer to visit without the kids because they always want to stay and play.

First visit here. A really cool combination of orchard, country store, fresh produce store, mini-farm for children and cafe. Just up the hill from "Planet Bee", another great store. Was very busy on the Sunday we passed through, and a bit difficult to "social distance", but staff did their best to limit admittance to the indoor areas. There were many neat preserve items we wanted to get, but were limited by flight baggage space & weight. Will be back for more when we drive to the Okanagan.

Our kids grew up in Vernon, going to Davison Orchards. We’re so happy that our out of town grandchildren also have grown to know this wonderful Vernon landmark. The little cafe serves delicious food, so we make sure we stop for something to eat while we are there. There is a lot to see for people of all ages. The owners have taken great care to adapt to covid protection for staff and visitors. We recently brought a group of friends from out of town and they loved it there. I buy the frozen pie dough and use it all winter long. It’s fabulous and so convenient.

Went to Davison Orchards twice - once in August and again in September when I took an out of town guest there. In August I took the tour of the orchard and it was fantastic. During the tour, the driver stopped 2-3 times and provided a history of the orchard and talked about the various fruits and vegetables they grow. In September, the trip was the exact opposite as the driver only stopped once so we could pick an apple. The only information he provided was to answer questions. I was so disappointed. At the end I asked about the 2nd stop and was told they don't do a second stop when it was apple picking season. I couldn't understand this as we didn't pass anyone picking apples and there were only 3 carts with guests in behind the tractor. As I paid the same $8 fee for the tractor tour both visits I basically feel like I paid $8 for an apple during my September visit. Was very disappointed considering the earlier visit was great.

It is sad how far downhill this place has gone since Tom took over. When Bob ran it, it was a caring,, fun and kind place to go. But Tom worships the almighty dollar. He has even charged a baby in a snuggly a
ticket to go on a hayride though the infant had no seat. He has kindly donated rotten fruit to charities serving children and struggling families. He doesn't care about the people making him so rich..as long as he gets his money

Absolutely beautiful farm we had to come twice on our short holiday. Every single inch of the farm has been perfected. The market has incredible gift/souvenirs, the bakrey smells amazing. The focaccia is so delicious we had to come back for another loaf. We picked 10 pounds of apples and was give a wonderful and informative tour of the farm. The ice cream is made with fruit from the farm and was so delicious and refreshing. The farm animal are so well taken care of and very friendly. Even have a sheep that resembles Freddie Mercury. The goats where not aggressively trying to get food which can be scary for small ones. There is awesome unique play stuctures. The restaurant has delicious soup and sandwiches wich you can purchase all the ingredients for in the market. Lastly the apple juice my only disappointment is I didnt buy the 3 jugs. We enjoyed a apple slushy and took home a apple juice from a kids meal, had I tried the juice while at the farm we would have bought the 3 jugs. We spent 5 days in Vernon and this was definitely the best place to eat and visit.

Visited here after reading about it online. We were very impressed. There are lots of little kids activities and things to see that are free of charge. In addition, we paid to do the tractor-train tour which was quite neat and great that the driver stops a couple of times along the way for questions and pictures. The stores were nice and our kids enjoyed the ice cream.

Beautiful Bella Vista Orchard behind Planet Bee is a must see in Vernon BC. Farmhouse cafe has great quality food for reasonable prices with a lovely view of the Vernon Valley. Farm themed playground for the children with tractor rides into the orchard. Fresh produce and home-made baking in Nanas bakery - frozen chicken pot pie to take home was the best we ever tasted .wonderful fresh fruit pies are made on site. My grandchildren want to return every time they are in Vernon.

Lovely little stop to explore. Interesting finds in the gift shop and yummy food to buy. Live goats will put a performance on for you, when you feed them. A fun stop to get out and stretch your legs

A beautiful Mountain location. Allow time for eating, buying produce and Baked goods and touring the animals. The Cafe food was delicious and the view down over the town was spectacular. The Shop sells amazing and unusual merchandise. I stocked up on the Jams, rare flavours and some bottled Cherry/Apple drinks which the children in the family love. As do the adults. Great Gifts too.

Hi,
We will be holding our semi annual trade show in September and are interested in having an "entertainment night" for our guests (approx 100 people). We'd be interested in doing some thing in the evening (approx 7:30 or so) however, I fear that everything is closed down by then.
Anything you could assist with would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Maria;
I think O'Keefe Ranch is something you will not regret. If you get them to srve you dinner, try to get Ken ? the now retired curator to tell your group some of the history of the ranch. He is very good and everybody will enjoy him, even the city slickers.
Vernon area also has world class well-being spa Sparkling Hill, but that is a little different genre. You could always phone them.
Good luck. I know you wll have a good time in Vernon.

We do allow dogs at our farm as long as they are on a leash, just not in our market or in the cafe/on the patio. Hope that helps!
