Lovely are , beautifully maintained, with lots of Shops & Restaurants.
Many are expensive & high end shops, along with them other ordinary shops too can be found here.
Nice to stroll about, just to see a new place.

This is a short strip of stores but the really interesting part is the history of this area. Quaint store fronts line this street lit with gas lamps. Step inside W & J Wilson, a clothing company that has been there for over 150 years. Other boutique stores and tapas bars complete this old world hub.

Walk the narrow passage and find a cafe. The buskers and musicians make this a neat spot to hang out.

Good evening. First things first. I am sorry for some of the point blank language.
Every so often I think of saying to my wife, ‘let’s go down town and see what is happening’. It’s been 10 years.
Well after being subjected to the so called downtown experience this afternoon, I would rather cut off my left testicle before I will think of going back into town.
My wife has a broken ankle and is getting her hair done so I am a number one driver. I go downstairs to the Tapa bar to have a beer while waiting.
The young lady spoke to me when I ordered a beer and when she gave me the bill. The place was 35% full.
I have had more interaction at a funeral.
5 DIVAS all talking to each other and not doing their jobs.
When did it become so hard for people to understand that if you want return clientele, associate with them. You don’t have to know their life story, just be sociable.
I went to go to a specialty store and they are open 11-4 and 7:30-9:30. It is 4:55. Really. If I had that much time for dinner I would forget how to unlock the door.
The only thing that I can say that was good about my latest downtown experience is that the beer was 30% cheaper than in the Bowling Alley in Langford.
Add to that $5.50 for 2 hours of parking. What idiot would open a shop in downtown Victoria?

Victoria has many great alleys and this is another one of them. Lots of nice patios for restaurants and cafes. Meet a friend or just people watch!

I have enjoyed walking down Trounce Alley since the 1960's. The cobblestone street, the quaint buildings, the hanging flower baskets, the antique street lights, the artsy shops & the Tapas Bar all add to its ambience. Over the years, I have bought buttons at the button shop to up-grade thrift store jackets, bought crystals to hang in my kitchen window & more. I have enjoyed a snug winter's meal at the Tapa's Bar. I seldom go down Government street without popping down Trounce Alley for a look.

This summer, my husband & I enjoyed sitting in the out-door area of the Tapas Bar while sipping wine, eating tapas, people watching, & admiring the red geraniums in hanging flower pots. It was so relaxing getting off the busy Government Street with all the tourist & locals.

We have been staying here for a period of time and never realized that this alley exisited. It's nice alley with a variety of shops & restaurants. Located a short walk off of Government Street across from entrance to Bastion Square & ends at Broad Street.

It was quite narrow with only a few shops. Thought it would be longer and more interesting shops or decor. The amount of time it took to walk there, wasn’t worth it.

I'm not sure why this location would have its own listing on TA. It's a small pedestrian passthrough with some shops and restaurants. It wasn't anything spectacular.

Some of the shops are very expensive but most are reasonable. Definitely worth the stroll through. Some interesting restaurants as well.
