Been on this charter three times over past three years and never seen Orcas. Seen the "very rare" hump backs three times but no Orcas...becoming sceptical what the success rate is on Orca sightings.More

Jel326, Thank you for taking the time to review Prince of Whales. I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve missed out on orcas 3 times! That is so unfortunate (and uncommon). Killer whales are our top priority, so if you didn’t see them, that means...More

A well designed excursion trip in the company of 65 other whale watchers. The crew were well informed providing commentary and advice on the sea life which in addition to the whales included a sea otter (much larger than I imagined), seals and sea lions...More

Pipnkent, Thanks so much for your great review. I’m sorry we couldn’t find orcas for you, but that’s so exciting you saw a sea otter! And it’s not just A sea otter; it’s THE sea otter, Ollie. We’ve only had one to two sea otters...More

Great trip on a zodiac boat. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good viewings of transient orca and other wildlife. Lots of other boats out also viewing so for a more personalised experience would advise whale watching further up the island in Campbell river or Port Hardy.

We saw a few varieties of whales and some seals. Our guide was really good, patient with needy question-askers and knew her stuff.....and she had the education and experience to back it up.

Fantastic trip and went on a 3pm tour which was less busy than mid afternoon run. My wife is not a huge boat fan but felt very comfortable as the larger Ocean Magic boat provided a very smooth ride on a nice day. We did...More
