This place is really worth a visit. There are all kinds of bugs and insects, small and large. There were several staff members walking around explaining each exhibit and allowing us to touch and hold the bugs and ask questions. It was easy enough to stop and listen to the "tour" or just look around on our own. Lots of... More

This was exactly what we needed after days of being on the road. I thought my 15 month old boy would be too young to enjoy the bugs here, but not so- he was enthralled by the very knowledgeable and kid friendly tour guide and dozens of giant insects and arachnids. The bugs were huge and disgusting, and they let... More

Our 4 y.o. had a great time at the Bug Zoo. The guide went from tank to tank talking about the different insects, bugs, and spiders, even taking some out and letting us hold them. The place is small but we still spent over an hour there. Great stop while you're walking around Victoria!

I love insects, so no wonder I love the Victoria Bug Zoo. It is in downtown Victoria...very easy to get to. The curator was so knowledgeable. Not only do you learn a lot about the insects, you can actually hold them! I recommend it for anyone with a science mind or anyone with children. It's an inexpensive way to learn... More

I've been to the Victoria Bug Zoo a couple of times now, and I've thoroughly enjoyed myself each time. Well worth the price of admission. Some might say that it's not for the squeamish, but I say that it's a chance for the squeamish to overcome their fears about insects!

At my 7 year old's request we went on to visit The Victoria Bug Zoo. A wide variety of creepy crawlies are available to touch and hold. The guides are informative and she enjoyed learning interesting facts about each of the insects. The leafcutter ant colony was so mesmerizing to observe. At over 2.5 million ants, it’s Canada’s largest colony!... More

We took our two kids here. We thought they would live it but they were a bit freaked out. We on the other hand loved it. A great range of insects and the tour guide Erinn told us a huge amount of interesting information. The set up is small but very good.

We found this place good for the price and the people working there are so knowledgeable. Our friend told us ahead of time it was only two rooms and I glad she did. I think we would have been disappointed if we didnt know. They have great displays in those two rooms though/

My younger and older teen boys all love the Bug Zoo, so much so that we have been several times. They have a wide variety of bugs and spiders from around the world. (Don't worry they are all safely in tanks.). The staff give tours and are very knowledgable and passionate. At certain specimens they will take them out and... More
