We come here every time we vacation to Victoria. The staff are very knowledgeable about every bug and insect in there. They have tarantulas you can hold if you are over the age of 18 but, the rest of the insects and bugs are allowed to be held by anyone. The have millipedes that people put on their faces to... More

My teenage son and his girlfriend actually ended up holding scorpions and a tarantula. They are not bug lovers but still found it interesting and not only learned something but felt comfortable enough to actually end up holding some crazy bugs. Well worth the visit.

This is great fun for all the family. You can wander around on your own or tag onto a guide, or in our case do both. The guides are well versed in their knowledge of the creatures in their care. They try to present the creatures in a positive light and allay irrational fears. You learn that there are some... More

Great tour guides, knowledgable, great pace, good for the very varied group I was with. (Older, young, some folk with cognitive challenges, and singles)

I took my kids to visit this place once. It was fun even we don't recognize all of them but that's why it was fun. It's quite educational and enjoyable.

Tiny place but tons of bugs! We could have spent hours there. Guides are intelligent and informative but we had to leave before finishing the whole tour. It was awesome to hold them, especially the giant stick bugs! Great for kids and adults, and they have various discounts including students so ask at the counter.

Our middle daughter really wanted to go here where my other two were very unsure but once inside they were amazed and interested in all the different bugs. Our 13 yr old hates bugs but she wanted to hold certain bugs she never saw before. By the time we left, our middle daughter was talking about wanting an ant farm... More

This is a hidden treasure if you have kids to entertain on a rainy day! It's not a big attraction, but there's lots of cool bugs to look at and your kids will love it! You can even hold some of them and wear a giant centipede as a moustache or buy chocolate covered crickets in the gift store if... More

A co-worker suggested that we visit this place in Victoria while visiting. It was incredibly fascinating observing the exhibits and playing the 'spot the insects' game with my significant other. The extensive display for the leaf-cutting ants was impressive with pods and tubes that extend from the opposite walls of the main room. I understand why some people would prefer... More
