The hotel is nice and has the historical feel to it. The rooms are small for the price you pay. I had just stayed at the Jasper Park Lodge recently. Night and day between the two.

Wonderful mix of historic and contemporary design. If you can time your visit to be there for High Tea you'll be in for a treat. Great grounds with topiary and bee hives. Views of the marina and BC Parliament building. Cute (but pricey) gift shop....More

Always LOVE the atmosphere of this hotel. Beautiful, convenient location on the inner harbor. We won't miss the 'Tea' next time we visit. Walked through today and EVERYONE was loving their experience and the food looked amazing.

It's beautiful, but not as impressive without its ivy. Too expensive and better places to stay. Magnolia hotel and spa. Take the tour or just walk around inside and out for free.

Stopped by here on a stroll through Victoria. Beautiful big, old hotel on the harbour with great views out on the water.

A little taken back when I first saw the Empress Hotel without the ivy. But after two days I saw the original building which is a masterpiece!

Great and amazing hotel to stay with wonderful staff and experience. Part of Fairmont hotels. Must experience the afternoon tea here. Over night staff is amazing and very helpful at the front desk. Parking is $32 per night.

We specifically asked at Buchart Gardens and they said the flowers here bloom almost all year. Most places are wheelchair accessible, including Butchart Gardens.
