A beautiful highlight of the harbour

Love this hotel, and the interior is as classy as the outside. It is expensive to stay at, but worth walking through.

We thoroughly enjoy the Empress every time we walk through those lovely halls. The staff are always welcoming, helpful and friendly, even when we aren't staying there.

Wow folks! Of all the places I have been (and I am indeed a seasoned traveler), this place rates in the top 10 in the world. Why? For reasons you may not expect......for example, the location and view is stellar. Right in the middle of the action across from the harbour. People underestimate this fact. The view and ambience and... More

We started our visit outside going through the Rose Garden - they had a wonderful selection of hybrids - the colours and aromas were out of this world! Orange, mauve, creams, reds, yellows, whites, all gorgeous! When we went inside the hotel - it was so nice to see how much work they have done on the renovations. Beautiful wood... More

This is a very elegant place - and the prices are consistent with the elegance. If you need to ask prices, you should shop there. Walk around and see the luxury; it is fun. And tea for 2 is "only" about $100.

Had tea here a while ago and it was worth it. Just to say that you had afternoon tea is pretty cool. The building is impressive to say the least. It is the prime building in the inner harbor. Just a stunning building that commands attention!

A quick walk through the hotel is enough. I have heard that the high tea is worth doing, but it is quite expensive. Did take a peek and it looked quite good.

Our kids were a little bored in the hotel, but they enjoyed the beautiful landscaping out side the hotel.

You probably won't be able to get reservations for "High Tea" at this historic hotel, but don't let that stop you from walking in and enjoying this great hotel. You can purchase the same tea bags used in their "High Tea" in the gift shop... The renovations to the outside are almost done so you will get to enjoy the... More

We drove up and were greeted by a valet. We told him we were checking in and he asked if we wanted valet or self parking. We said self and he pointed us to the parking garage and said even though it said lot full there would be plenty of spaces. Apparently the sign was to discourage too many of... More
