This superb foodie walking tour was my introduction to Victoria on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC. My guide (Julie?) was a very knowledgeable interesting, and flexible (and foodie herself!). She customized the tour and was clearly well known and liked at every restaurant and shop we visited. Two hours went by too quickly! My husband and I returned to two of the stops the next day -- the wine store, and L'Apero for a wine and cheese pairing for our happy hour.

Off the Eaten Track, Eat Like a Candian was an outstanding tour. Our guide, AJ, was interactive, informative, friendly, and aware of disabilities causing a slower walking pace. He kept us on time while ensuring that we enjoyed each stop. Even if you are a Candian, this can be a fun informative tour with great food along the way. I am from this area and learnt about a few hidden local gems.
There are a few opportunities for washroom breaks along the way.
Some locations provide the ability to sit down, while others you need to remain standing.
Be sure to hungry to start this tour as you will fill up on many delicious treats.

We just enjoyed the tour this afternoon…and it was so darn delicious, fun…and even for us locals we had so many new experiences. Highly recommend this Christmas Cozy Tour…and the Panettone was …well….I have never had Panettone like that before! Wow!!! 🥰

This was such a great experience. We had a lot of fun and Brenda, our tour guide, was funny and very knowledgeable. If you want to explore Victoria like a local and taste some amazing food, you should definitely give this a try!

Brenda was a terrific guide, blending the local food scene and history seamlessly. I enjoyed the sights as we walked through the maze of narrow streets in Chinatown and Old Town to arrive at another local eatery. Just a little taste at each place and a surprise stop to play pinball. Great tour!!

From our first meeting with our guide, Bonnie, we found this tour to be entertaining, informative and fun. The selection of eateries introduced us to an interesting variety of emerging multi-cultural venues as well as some long established culinary specialists in Victoria. Each eatery welcomed us providing more than ample portions of excellent food and drink.Even though we have visited Victoria many times and are quite familiar with the city, we learned a number of new details from our guide’s interesting anecdotes. We highly recommend this tour to visitors new to the city, to returning visitors, and even locals. It was a great tour, beginning to end.

Our family of four really enjoyed an afternoon of getting to know Victoria through stories and personalities and a delicious array of good eats. Our kids felt much more confident afterwards, feeling like we'd all gotten to know the place better. We recommend it!

My son and wife ordered the Brown Bag Tour for me for Mothers Day. It was amazing. There was food that I normally wouldn’t purchase for myself and it was so good. There was a very good variety of different food including fresh baguette locally baked , to an amazing dessert . Bonnie delivered it personally and practiced social distancing I would definitely recommend this way to go during this pandemic. And would even consider taking one of the regular tours when all is back to normal. well done and thank you Bonnie.

I was looking for a unique gift for my mom and since tours aren't really a thing right now, I noticed this company offering Brown Bag Tours. What a great idea! The bag contained a variety of local meats, cheeses, bread, sweets and more and my mom loved it. Purchasing the bag was super easy, communications from the owner Bonnie were timely and professional and delivery was on time and speedy. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing event curated and hosted by Bonnie. The goodies were delivered (safely) direct to our door before the event, and everything came off without a hitch. This kind of event is most welcome during this strange year, and would be great, too, as a group when things get back to "normal".

What is the best way to get from the pier where to Warf St. where my tour for Downtown food & city tour will meet.

I assume you mean cruise ship pier? You can walk, it will take roughly 25-30 min. Best bet is to take the shuttle offered, it costs $15 round trip and drops you off on Government street steps away from Visitor Information Centre where we meet.

I'd love to do the 3:00 tour with my family in August. is it feasible to get to the tour after disembarking a cruise ship at 2:30 or is that cutting it too close? How far is the meeting spot from the cruise terminal?

Hi! It might depend on the tour. If you are asking about the Canada 150 Food Tour the meeting place is at Fisherman's Wharf which is within walking distance of the cruise ship terminal so I think that would be feasable. If you are asking about the Craft Beer Tour the meeting place is on Yates Street which would require a taxi in which case you would be cutting it close. Either way, even if you were 10 min late you would still get to the tour in time (we spend at least 10-15 min at each stop). But, if there was a delay in your ship then of course there might be a problem. So in my opinion it is possible but you would have to hurry off the ship.
