For me -- A new take on Victoria's Chinatown, its culture and its amazing food

This was the second "Off the Eaten Track" walking tour I took. in recent days It was equally as enjoyable as the first and our guide Bonnie filled us in on all the things that have happened to the area going back to when it was Fort Victoria. I am a very picky eater so I was anticipating not enjoying the food, but it was all excellent. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in foods from many different cultures. Chinatown in Victoria has always been a great place to visit but Bonnie pointed out the many things I had missed on my last few visits. Thanks for a wonderful tour!

Delightful introduction to Victoria’s new foodie culture

From our first meeting with our guide, Bonnie, we found this tour to be entertaining, informative and fun. The selection of eateries introduced us to an interesting variety of emerging multi-cultural venues as well as some long established culinary specialists in Victoria. Each eatery welcomed us providing more than ample portions of excellent food and drink.Even though we have visited Victoria many times and are quite familiar with the city, we learned a number of new details from our guide’s interesting anecdotes. We highly recommend this tour to visitors new to the city, to returning visitors, and even locals. It was a great tour, beginning to end.

A great way to meet Victoria

Our family of four really enjoyed an afternoon of getting to know Victoria through stories and personalities and a delicious array of good eats. Our kids felt much more confident afterwards, feeling like we'd all gotten to know the place better. We recommend it!

Brown Bag Tour

My son and wife ordered the Brown Bag Tour for me for Mothers Day. It was amazing. There was food that I normally wouldn’t purchase for myself and it was so good. There was a very good variety of different food including fresh baguette locally baked , to an amazing dessert . Bonnie delivered it personally and practiced social distancing I would definitely recommend this way to go during this pandemic. And would even consider taking one of the regular tours when all is back to normal. well done and thank you Bonnie.

Brown Bag Tour - Perfect Mother's Day Gift

I was looking for a unique gift for my mom and since tours aren't really a thing right now, I noticed this company offering Brown Bag Tours. What a great idea! The bag contained a variety of local meats, cheeses, bread, sweets and more and my mom loved it. Purchasing the bag was super easy, communications from the owner Bonnie were timely and professional and delivery was on time and speedy. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing event curated and hosted by Bonnie. The goodies were delivered (safely) direct to our door before the event, and everything came off without a hitch. This kind of event is most welcome during this strange year, and would be great, too, as a group when things get back to "normal".

Multi-sensory introduction to Victoria

Had a very enjoyable and enriching experience on the Downtown Victoria Food & City Tour. There was such a wide variety of top-notch food and drink samplings, along with much learnt about Victoria along the way shared by Brenda, our very knowledgeable guide. Be prepared for a decent amount of walking, but think of it as walking off some of the calories you'll consume during the tour.

We very much enjoyed our tour of modern Chinatown. We tried seven different small food places that we would never thought of to enter very pleased we did so. Brenda, our guide did a great job. We would go with her again.

Our guide Brenda was entertaining. She provided information about the food scene in Victoria and suggestions for places to try even if we weren’t going to them on the tour. It included a stop and tasting at a wine shop where the two tastes were excellent. However I found the food disappointing overall.

Chocolate & Churches walking tour

This was a fun and informative day for us. We have lived in Victoria all our lives and yet we learned all kind of interesting tidbits about its history. The guide was very knowledgeable. We discovered many great little shops that we will go back to in the future. highly recommend the tour.
