Very close to the Royal BC museum. Excellent Totem poles. Being outside you really get a sense of how large they are.

Small park with some examples of native totem poles and a longhouse. Longhouse is brightly painted with native art so good for photos . Has ramps so accessible to wheelchairs . Give a small look at native culture. Will learn more at Museum next door.

Located behind the Royal BC Museum, Thunderbird Park is a collection of nearly two dozen totems scattered in a small park where you can walk around and be amazed and mystified by the beauty of these works of art. Include it with your walk around the Inner harbour, Government House and the Museum

Yes, this park is open to the public during all hours of the day or nighttime! Nice to see the artistic totem poles. During the day take time to enjoy a picnic with your family or friends!

This park was fascinating to view- especially because of the rich history that Victoria has to offer. Furthermore, if you visit on a sunny day in the morning, the photos you can capture are stunning! Also, this park is right next to the museum!

Located in the heart of Victoria, this small park gives you a good introduction into First Nations woodwork and art. Sometimes features local artists caving totem poles, particularly in the summer months.

Fascinating history, legends, folk tales, not to mention the views and the artistry of days gone by. Even a demonstration of how these colossal figures were (and still are) carved from wood.!!

If you're nearby (and you almost certainly will be) stop in for a 15 minute look. It's too small to be a destination unless you have a special interest in totem poles.

Thunderbird Park is located next to the Royal British Columbia Museum/IMAX Theatre and you can't miss it by wandering around. I read things on the Internet that claims the park and structures are reputed to be haunted by ghosts. It is supposed to be more mild and not a wild haunting. I have not really encountered must, but then perhaps... More
