I had not been to Capital Iron for several years. But, thought it might be the place to find a bench for my spa bathroom. They did not have anything that would work for me. Also, I was disappointed not to be able to explore more of the store: Kitchen wares, home décor, etc. But, the stairs were daunting as... More

We love going to Capital Iron when we are in town but this time it seemed like they were going through some changes. There did not seem to be the inventory nor the choices there usually is. Don't get me wrong, it is still great just not what we have come to expect from these folks. Still a universal store... More

Whenever we go to Victoria we try to stop in at Capital Iron. It is a local store with such a varied collection of articles - from coffee makers to kitchen gadgets to outdoor clothing to ship and boat paraphernalia. They have opened two other stores - one in Sidney and the other near Langford that carry much of the... More

Stopped at another store looking for Christmas presents, couldn't pull the trigger until we checked out CI. Found the perfect present and at the right price. These folks are awesome! Take or make some time you will be impressed. Don't miss all three floors.

Well worth a stop - this place has so many "good things" you need at least half an hour to even get the scope of it. Hardware, kitchen gadgets, camping and fishing stuff, and tons of nifty little knick knacks. Definitely a must-stop destination if you need stocking stuffers! Do yourself a favour and poke your nose in, you won't... More

Capital Iron is an old fashioned department store near the waterfront in downtown Victoria. It is in a very old historical building, a two story place with a great kitchen and housewares department, garden and patio decor, outdoor and sports gear, and some clothing. Since most of the department stores have gone the way of the big box that all... More

We love this place. We drove down from comox to get a 12 cup percolator for camping and a Tasmanian tiger backpack....while there we picked up dog toys, travel containers and testing strips for the hot tub. haha! where else can you get all that??? Seriously, such an eclectic place. Everything from expensive women's outdoor clothing, to home furnishings to... More

we love going to Victoria and we always make a point of going to Capital Iron. It is crammed full of all different thing. Some things are high priced, but there always seems to be good sales. Lots to choose form and you can get some good design ideas just from looking around. Would recommend this store.

We stopped in while casually shopping during our vacation. We are big on outdoor adventure and we heard this was the place to go. I must say that the large selection of items from furniture to clothing to camping gear was interesting to browse. But we were very disappointed about the prices. Everything was comparable or much higher costs then... More
