There are plenty of things to see in Victoria, but you can't say you've seen the city unless you've strolled around the Inner Harbour. It's beautiful, and it's free. Take the short route that just takes you past the Empress Hotel and the Parliament building, or take a longer walk from Fisherman's Wharf to the blue bridge.

Any time day or night it is very beautiful. The legislature is lit up at night and makes it all the more impressive. There is a fantastic walkway around the inner harbour which allows you see the boats and sea planes as well as purchase food from the numerous vendors or several restaurants that give a fantastic view of the... The Ferry rides are most enjoyable. I took the 45 minute tour and was pleasantly surprised at the beauty and history our knowledgable guide shared with us.

The Victoria inner harbour is one of the most picturesque harbours in the world. It is relatively small so easy to walk even with young children. It is bordered by the Parliament Buildings (south), the world renowned Empress Hotel (east side - stop in for afternoon tea) and the Government Street shopping area (north) in downtown Victoria. The north and... More

You can easily spend a couple of days wandering the Inner harbour in Victoria. You can pretty much walk the whole coastline of the inner harbour and if you start from downtown you can stroll the waterfront and see the various private boats to mega yachts, start at fisherman's wharf and some fish a chips and then head through downtown,... Once I saw those cute little taxi boats, I had to go for an inner harbor tour. It was well worth every moment and the skipper was full of fun information and local stories, plus some recommendations of places to grab some good food/drink. There is also a small wharf that you can disembark on and get a ride back... More

This is a beautiful harbor Unfortunately along with quite a large part of Victoria (Government Street is particular) the city has a serious 'homeless' problem. Homeless people from all over Canada have arrived in quite significant numbers to this warmer and more supportive environment. These people need and deserve help, but the large influx means that the support services and... More

The inner harbour is always a great place to walk. It is a busy place with artists, sight-seeing, restaurants, etc.
