I found the museum to display in a unique and beautiful way - everything from the current revolving displays to the First Nations artifacts. Tells B.C.'s stories in a variety of manors - to entertain and educate everyone from a child to a tourist to a local.

The exhibits were very well designed and researched. I especially enjoyed learning about the history of the Vancouver Island area. This is also a very kid/family friendly museum. Buy the upgraded ticket that includes an IMAX movie...very much worth a couple extra dollars.

The museum is really nicely laid-out, with very interesting and visually captivating exhibits. We went hoping for a solid overview of British Columbian history and walked away disappointed. As a museum for those who know Canadian history and want some really incredible exhibitions delving into more detail of that history, it is great. Definitely one of the most engaging and... More

We have toured the museum many times over the years and always enjoy it. We now go when there is a special exhibition on we went to Titanic and the last one was Gold. We really enjoyed the quality of the displays and the amount of information provided. Great job by the museum curators please keep it up.

People complain about everything, the food.. really? It's a museum and a good one at that, you could spend 2-3 hours in here. Lots to see, might be boring for small children though, if I was a kid, I would be. As an adult it was fascinating and my friends enjoyed it

Compact and packs a lot of punch. Child friendly. Staff is very forthcoming by engaging with guests. Take advantage of the knowledge that can be gleaned about the Haida and other First Nations - masks, beadwork are superb. The nature exhibit boasts a beautifully recreated seashore setting.

I have been to the Royal BC Museum four times now and always enjoy it. I think my favourite parts are the huge display on the history of the first Nations people and the large displays showing the history of BC, with the replica streets, mines, stores and ships.

I was surprised coming from the US at the level of detail and personal interaction of this museum. I saw people of all age groups interacting in the exhibits. The volunteers who are at knowledge stations bring a greater level of knowledge and personal stories about the display they support

It's not an Art Museum. Think of it more as a history one. Good to see an IMAX movie & then, explore the floors. After the visit, the gift shop has a lot to look at. The Empress is across the street from the RBC Museum. Plan your museum visit so that you can have time for afternoon tea.
