This is a world class museum. It could take you days and days to see everything... always more to learn. We saw the Mammoth exhibit this time around and it was fabulous. I love the roundhouse too - the totem polls.

So much history and artifacts. You feel like you're living in the time. Very tastefully and professionally done and very accurate. It'll keep you interested all day. A great value, too.

Very entertaining for all ages! Loved the Mammoth exhibit, lots of hands on items for kids. Took 2 solid hours with a big family and we fast tracked some of it due to one constraints.

We have been to the Royal BC on many occasions and couldn't wait to see the Museum decked out in it's Christmas finery. It did not disappoint! The Helmcken House was open and a visitor was encouraged to sit and play the piano - wonderful!...More

I enjoyed the mammoth exhibit, great option for something to do on a rainy day. The IMAX movie was worth the extra ticket cost, very clean, great sound and comfortable 3 D glasses.

Great hands-on experience of the natural history of BC. Kids and adults love it. IMAX theatre there, too. Walk through a Native longhouse, watch silent movies in an old theatre, go down in a submarine (not real) and view undersea life. Great fun.

No they are not. There are not many "pet" appropriate areas for animals in the city centre. Lots in the surrounding municipalities.

Hey Misty, Google maps says it is a 23 minute walk from Ogden point, where the cruise ships come in. Not too bad, all flat ground and if you follow the water, some very nice things to see like the inner harbour and... More
