About
Just around the corner from Victoria's Inner Harbour, Fisherman's Wharf is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. This unique marine destination offers food kiosks, unique shops and eco-tour adventures in the heart of the working harbour. Wander down the docks with your lunch, buy seafood fresh off the boat, see moored pleasure vessels and float homes, and watch as fishing vessels unload their wares.

Great

We loved walking around and eating here - very pretty with a playground nearby. Water taxis can take you here as well and may even do so for free if you book a tour.

Not much open during pandemic
Jan 2021 • Couples
To much was open, so it is quite boring. It is picturesque and some restaurants offer patio seating but no indoor seating that we saw. One store is by appointment only, many other stores closed during covid.

Love this Place
Dec 2020 • Couples
The atmosphere, the food and the colourful house boats are all worth the visit. You can catch the water taxi from the docks near The Empress or you can just walk. It's less than 2 km. Just follow Bellville Street all the way around to the Wharf. Or better yet, just follow the pathway that pretty much follows the harbour water line. You do have to go to the street level at the Blackball Ferry Terminal for just a short stretch but you can catch the pathway back to the water just a short way past the terminal. It meanders along the water and you'll end up back at street level but the Wharf is just a few yards to your right. When you get to the Wharf just browse around. But before you leave, be sure to try the fresh fish and chips! Hop the Water Taxi, if you like, to a drop point anywhere along the harbour.

A nice visit!!
Nov 2020
While we were in Victoria we wanted to make sure we stopped in at Fisherman's Wharf. Parking was available - paid parking. Sadly not a lot was open at this time. However, it was nice to walk around - it certainly wasn't crowded, and the floating homes were wonderful and colourful!! I am sure a visit in warmer climates would be a totally different experience.

Our go to - when in Victoria
Jul 2020
When I think of Victoria - I think of this place. Our son, who was out there a few years, took us here ! WE were hooked, and you will be too.
It is a pleasant place where there is a variety of food but we always have seafood and then we wonder to the building next door for there excellent coffee.
Because it can be busy, parking is sometimes an issue. Be ready for it - although a walk, it isn't too far from the Parliament Building district of Victoria.

How far is it from Empress Hotel? Could one walk? My mother can walk but not very far distances. Thanks!

It's about a 5 block walk. All flat but a good 15 minutes. Might be too far for your Mom
although there are many benches to stop and rest in between or you can take a Kabuki cab ( bicycle with trailer)

My husband and I will be in Victoria June 10-12; does anyone know of a great place to stay at Fisherman's Wharf? We wanted to stay at a floating B&B.
Thanks!

When we were there, it looked like all the floating housing was privately owned.

Are there any specific vendors that sell fish really cheap for the seals? Also is it legal to feed the seals? Sounds like so much fun and I want to do! Thank you

Yes, there are vendors at Fishermans Wharf that sell fish to feed the seals and it is legal.
