We enjoyed our amazing tour with Captain Gordon very much. He is such a nice and knowledgeable captain! And as pictures say more than words, here are a few of the orca groups we saw today.

I had an amazing day with my buddy at bc whale tours. We saw orcas, humpback whales , seals , eagles and magnificent views. Captain Gordon was very knowledgeable and he definitely knew the ocean very well. It was a fantastic day with an amazing experience overall. I would definitely recommend everyone to go and do it again.

A fantastic day out on the water! All week we’d been hearing that there’s a good chance we wouldn’t see Killer Whales whilst on the Island. Step up BC Whale Tours! Within a mile or 2 of Victoria Harbour we stumbled across a pod of Orca! Holiday made! We spent a while with them and also caught up with them again a bit later on! If that wasn’t enough we also got to see some very inquisitive humpbacks and some very smelly sea lions! Captain Gordon was great, really lovely and knowledgable! The boat was fantastic, fast but surprisingly quiet(ish). Some of the other boats out on the water watching the whales were old, tired and definitely inefficient, something I think needs looking at as the noise and fuel pollution cannot be great for the wildlife in the area. Overall a cracking day, will definitely be back!! J&Kx

We had a super tour - we were lucky enough to come across a very unusual event - an orca "super pod" - the convergence of several orca pods at once - really amazing. Our marine biologist skipper was very excited as were we and we enjoyed watching the different pods of orcas for most of the tour. We also went to the seal colony which was great, and saw a bald eagle. The ocean was flat calm. It was cold but we were snug in our suits.

Humpback whales, orcas, seals, bald eagles, magnificent views, and more! A really fantastic and special experience in everyway. I've never been able to stomach rollercoasters or rough seas, but had no worries, the boats were excellent, the skipper and his mate totally knew their stuff, and this was a thrilling and fun ride. Dress warmly as advised on the website (it's jolly cold out in the sea breezes, despite the protection of survival suits), and wear a well fitting hat and scarf (that won't blow off), and take your sunglasses, and binoculars if you have them. Also take advantage of the clean and handy BC Whale Tour bathrooms just before you board, and there's a bathroom on board if needed (thankfully I didn't as the survival suit would have added a challenge). When we got back, several of us appreciated the thoughtfully placed chairs while we took off our survival suits, and the kind offer to sit for a bit before leaving. Thank you so much to everyone at BC Whale Tours for a whale of a day!
