Found these gardens by accident after visiting Craigdarroch Castle which is only round the corner. The gardens were beautiful and we had a lovely coffee and cake in the volunteer run cafe

Government House is part of my back yard and it makes me so happy to walk through the gardens or lay around on a blanket reading and listening to the birds.

Fabulous place to walk and view the flowers in the gardens. A tour of the house rooms once a week is also available.

A great place to enjoy a stroll. Followed a path and enjoyed the many plants and trees on our walk as well as rose garden. Also looked in the museum but did not visit the tea room on this visit.

It's nice to walk the grounds on a warm summer's evening. We haven't had the pleasure of being invited indoors

The gardens are lovely and the volunteers who tend them are more than happy to tell you about the different types of plants, Walk around to the terraces at the back of the house for spectacular views of the water and mountains.

The the grounds are very rarely closed - the last time was when the Prince and Princess and children stayed there. Other than that, I can't recall a time when the grounds were not open to the public.
