We had an awesome experience at the Eddie Izzard Wunderbar night on November 18, Great seats, seems all seats in the house are perfect. Seats around 1400. Sound system was awesome. They had all drink stations open which was great, no waiting.

We went to see a music show. We loved the ambiance and how warm this there is. We enjoyed feeling close to the stage.

Keep an eye on their calendar as there is always something for everyone being performed at the Royal. Opera, Philharmonic, Concerts. Not a bad seat in the house.

Intimate setting for whatever performance is offered. Not a bad seat in the house. A gem in the city of Victoria.

I was under the impression that this was a cirque du Soleil performance . The duration of the show was about 2 hours of which less than 40 minutes was cirque performance and the rest was symphony music.
I felt Royal Theatre was not forthcoming in telling me that this was mainly a symphony event.

We were lucky enough to get tickets for a special concert by the Victoria Symphony and Angela Chan (piano) which was part of a special celebration of work by Beethoven. The Royal Theatre is very conveniently located near many of Victorias leading Hotels and if music-loving Visitors are in town at the same time as the VS is performing we strongly recommend trying to get tickets.

No longer a movie theatre, but back in the 70s it was and it when I moved to Victoria, this is where I saw my first movie. I was in awe of the gorgeous architecture then and still am. I have enjoyed several concerts at the Royal theatre and the sound is fabulous. I look forward to my next visit!

After many visits to the Royal Theatre for various events I still get a thrill as I walk in and see the classic red velvet curtains and gold decor. It transports me back to the London Theatres of my youth!
The staff are welcoming and the seats are comfortable. I have sat in various locations both in the Balcony and the Stalls and have never been disappointed with my line of sight or the sound.
If you will be visiting Victoria check ahead and see what is playing at the Royal Theatre during your visit and book on-line...you won't regret it.

I love the Royal Theater because I performed a dance here with my school group when I was in middle school, and I am a graduate now! It is a large theater and well maintained.
