Captain Rod seemed like a nice guy and our group had a good time on the boat. Weather was good and the three hours flew by. My main complaint would be that he told me on the phone that the total cost would be $1300. I asked very specifically. However, once I arrived, he charged me over $300 extra for a tip. And he charged me before we even started the boat ride so it obviously was not a tip based on performance. Personally I would just like to be told exactly what I will be charged and not have any surprise fees once I’ve arrived with the group. Apart from that, it was a fun cruise.

The weather was perfect for sailing, the ship overall was very clean, and the staff was genuinely kind and helpful, however, we were promised a fishing trip. The fishing trip didn't happen as apparently there wasn't any fish to catch, which i find pretty surprising. I spent most of the time sleeping on the deck as there was not anything to do at all. There's only so many photos you can take of the blue sea. In place of the promise of fishing we got a tour of Vancouver's outer area. Definitely not worth the amount of money we spent on the entire boat, considering we didn't get the activity in the first place and spent extra cash on the fishing license.

Our excursions are flexible. The Captain radioed around to the other fishing vessels in the aria and no one was getting any hits. The tides were not right for fishing. After addressing this situation all guest were asked what thy wanted to do, continue fishing or end the trip as a cruise. This decision was taken by the guests and not the Captain. Thank you for your comment and looking forward to sailing with you next year.

We hosted our annual corporate event on the Desert Mariner and had an amazing time. Everyone said it was the best boat they had ever had in 4 years of hosting the event.

Showed up at 10am and had a great day fishing and enjoying the scenery. My family and two kids had a great time on Aquatic ventures boat. We fished and captain Rod let my Son reel in his first Large Cod. We then brought in 5 crab traps full of delicious Dungeness Crabs. Yum. To top it all off on the way back in we enjoyed watching a grey whale in the harbour. A perfect day I the boat. Being from Texas this was an incredible experience in Beautiful British Columbia. Thanks Captain Rod.

Very exiting and lovely tour you can do if you want to pay price. Advertiswments making People wrong information. A boat hiring $50 or $55 per hour on the adv. They charging when you finish X person. They never telling this. We were 3 person X $55 X 3hours; $495.... Big trap... Exactly must calculate before together... For amateur tour licence is not necessary. But trip is exellent if you ride it in rules.

This is misleading as all clients agree on the price when they book. The prices this "client " is posting are not even realistic. A fishing licence is required on all our fishing charters. They are inexpensive and easy to get. Seriously questioning if this is a real client.
