-Very bad treatment to costumers -Staff and manager are totally unprepared and rude, dont know how to deal with problems. -Try to take advantage on foreigners people -There are no one to help if you have a problem -barmen are very impolite to people and also dishonest THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO RUIN YOUR NIGHT!

I was not impressed by Au Bar at all, when a few friends and I went last night. We paid $18 cover despite having a reservation and guest-list. The drinks were expensive as well and I found the bartenders to be snobby. The DJ was terrible - every two minutes he would yell to the crowd to get their hands... More

It's mandatory to give them your jacket. If you wear two jackets (like a jeans jacket and your coat) they would charge you for both separately. So when she told me I've to pay for both, I just wanted to have my jeans jacket back, but she wouldn't give it to me unless I pay for it first. This was... More

Aubar nightclub banks on this notion of comparing themselves to a posh new york night club. That is not the case. This so-called "it" spot in Vancouver doesn't compare, not even a little. We had the opportunity to witness it first hand on a Saturday night. The security personel were unprofessional and bias when letting certain people in. Regardless of... More

We (3 girls) went to AuBar and we LOVED it. It had amazing customer service. Everybody was so very nice to us. The music just rocked. It made you want to dance dance dance and dance. They play amazing music at this place. The crowd is gorgeous, funny, and energetic. We were looking for a good crowd and great music,... More

First and foremost, if you're looking for a club that likes to treat their VIP customers with disrespect, deceit and inappropriate behavior this is the place. There was an incident in the bathroom involving the attendant and my girlfriend, of whom had done nothing wrong - I was there to witness it. Next thing you know she was being carried... More

THE WORST BAR/CLUB IN VANCOUVER (maybe in North America) PERIOD. Bartenders are snobs, bouncers are bunch of "Mr. Tough guys" who would taunt you and try to kick you out of the club JUST by talking to someone who are in the line at the entrance. Plus, I hate any bar/club with STRICT dress code... why the hell do I... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
