Pleasant and quick transit service from airport to downtown. We got a taxi to hotel on arrival as too tired to sort out tickets etc, cost approx $40 but got the train back to airport, cost around $8 for two people and probably quicker (although extra $5 per person when travelling from airport to city). Plenty of room for luggage... More

We took the SkyTrain several times, including back to the airport. Very convenient and easy to navigate. If you've got luggage, the elevators are conveniently located. Saves you quite a bit over taking a taxi!

We were staying at the metropolitan hotel and it was only a 5 minute walk to the nearest station $2.75 each and 25 minutes later we were at Vancouver International airport.

Sky Train is a very efficient and reliable public transit system, several lines take you all over Vancouver and surrounding areas. I do find it a little strange though how several of the lines overlap and end up using the same lines, same stops, seems redundant, nonetheless still a good system. A new line is opening soon. It does get... More

See the suburbs of Vancouver and be back in two hours. Mostly above ground so you enjoy day and night views.

Clean and safe subway system thath runs often. You hav to purchase yrou tickets at comouter kiosks in most opalces na d it cost about $1.75 for the first "zone" and another $1.00 per additional zone. So it is a good idea to look up or call and ask how many "zones" your trip will be so that you buy... More

Very cheap travel for getting around the city. Buy a day pass if you are planning a number of stops along the way. We paid $7.50 per senior. Believe it was $9.75 per adult. We travelled to Waterfront and then transferred to a Seabus to cross over to the waterfront market on the other side.

Used the Sky train to go from Vancouver to Oakridge - 41st Avenue to visit the VanDusen Botanical Gardens. Cheapest and fastest way to travel around. Very clean and great fast service. Could not fault it.

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
