On at the airport, off at waterfront. Clean, safe. Easy as. Some people had trouble using a credit card to buy the ticket from the machine. I used cash and was on the train and on my way 20 min after getting my luggage

We purchased a day pass on the SkyTrain that can be used on the buses and ferries around the city. We boarded the train near the Amtrak Station. We arrived in Vancouver aboard Amtrak from Seattle. We took the train one stop to the Chinatown Stadium Station. The trains run about every five minutes during the day. We walked about... More

If coming in from the airport (YVR), take the skytrain to downtown. You need to purchase a 2 zone ticket, cost is 9.00 into the city and only 4.00 return to airport. Tickets are valid for on and off trips for 90 minutes from purchase...keep that in mind.

Easy to navigate and use, we used it to get back and forth from airport. Much more affordable than cab. Clean, safe and accessible.

This service runs from the railway station to the waterfront where we stayed. It is very clean and tidy and a very quick way to travel. Ticket machines are situated at the entrance. The service is quick and very efficient.

Great way to get from the airport to your downtown hotel. Walk from airport terminal indoors to train platform, purchase ticket or a 24 hour trainpass from machine. Hop on! All stops are announced verbally and visually. Very user friendly and clean. Get to know the different lines, be aware that they do not cross each other( unlike the Montreal... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
