I have travelled a lot and SKYTRAIN is one of the better rapid transit rail systems in the world. Clean, frequent, friendly staff and goes many places. And reasonably priced ( not cheap but not expensive for its convenience and extensive track line distances). Due to the mountains to the north, ocean to the west, US border to the south,... More

This was a very effective way to travel from the suburbs to downtown and back. Easy to figure out and stress free ride to the downtown would recommend to anyone. If you do have any questions there is always someone to ask.

I love the sky train. So easy and quick from the airport and to get around Vancouver and surrounding areas. The only thing I got frustrated with was you have to tap your ticket on leaving the platform area. I kept putting mine away and forgetting

On our arrival we were unsure distances from the metro station to our apartment and therefore took a Cab. On our departure the 6 minute walk with one suitcase was no problem and using the compass card is highly effective from a cost point of view. Particularly if you are a senior. Travel time is about 28 minutes with easy... More

We were visiting the Vancouver area for few days. Since I read good things about the Sky Train and the ease of use, I decided not to rent the car. I was happy with my decision. We stayed in Richmond near Aberdine area and traveled to Waterfront area using Sky Train. It was easy to purchase the ticket, One can... More

We arrived at the Vancouver ferry terminal from Victoria, purchased a Compass transit pass for two zones, boarded a transit Link bus to Sky Train station and rode Sky Train to waterfront station for less than what a taxi would have cost. Clean and efficient way to get downtown with roller luggage.

Great way to get around Vancouver and suburbs. Easy to use, inexpensive and clean but the noisiest public transport I have ever used. The screeching and groaning seemed like something from the wild west rather than a modern rail system. Millennium Train, Vancouver to New Westminster and back.

it's convenient if you need to get to downtown from Richmond and your stop is close to a station. it certainly saves you from parking hassle and fees.

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
