Great guides, great adventure. Guide customized the trip to our adventurous group and he really made my son feel special on his 13th birthday. They were extremely understanding about bad traffic we encountered on our way and waited for us to arrive.

Had a great experience first time going rafting. Youngest was 8 oldest 43, did a family trip the 5 of us had a blast. The crew that took care of was amazing Izzy on the raft was awesome the kids loved her. Erin in the kayak was great after her safety talk she made us feel very comfortable as we aren’t the best swimmers. Greg was great joked around with my nephew and took great amazing pics. From arriving to end all the staff were great and friendly

Despite a mix up where we accidently signed up for the beginner Cheakamus River instead of the more advanced trip, we had an absolute blast! Our guide Morgan did an excellent job at making sure that we had a good time by telling us stories, sharing interesting bits of information, and setting up some fun balance games for us to attempt. Our favourite was one where we all (Morgan exempt) attempted to stand up on the edges of the raft, arm in arm, and walk around the edges in a full circle. Needless to say it ended with a few of us in the water;) The Cheakamus River is also absolutely stunning. We were lucky to be rafting down the river at the right time and were treated to movie-esc rays of sun shining through the mountains. We also spotted some otters and fish jumping nearby. The whole team in general does a fantastic job keeping you engaged, ensuring your safety, and speedily getting things ready/packed up as the experience progresses. They are also very COVID conscious as they made numerous efforts to keep equipment sanitary and everyone appropriately socially-distsnced. All in all, a very memorable experience and one that ensured my return to try out the other adventures. (Especially if they ever offer paddle board tours down the rivers)

disappoint, during the covid19 era, more than 30 people sit in one shuttle bus to the rafting river,no social distance, the tour guy is rude, my friend is worried about the social distance because the bus is FULL! He ask him why so many people sit in one bus, he ask"are you a high risk person?" VERY RUDE! when we back home, this company email me that we have been exposed to covid 19. They even give an unclear date. Aug10th-Aug16th, ???????????????so there is a virus in Aug10th and you still let people rafting? i have no idea. i will not recommend my friend to raft here, if you want to avoid COVID19, do not go with them.

Hello, Finding out of a possible exposure was an emotional experience for all of us here at Canadian Outback. Upon being informed by Vancouver Coastal Health, we immediately made our own decision to close out of an abundance of caution. Since making the decision to open for the season in May, we have worked closely with Vancouver Coastal Health, the CDC, and the BCROA to ensure that we have been operating with the best protocols in place to protect against the spread of Covid. The use of hand sanitizer, sanitization of all vehicles and common areas, and face coverings have been in place since day one. We also follow Transport Canada's guidelines with all our vehicles and have required face coverings in our vehicles well before Translink and other major transportation companies in BC. However, we recognize that even with protocols in place there remains a certain level of risk associated with operating during a pandemic. This is the same risk we must all accept each time we go out in public during a pandemic. When we became aware of the potential exposure, we made the voluntary decision to pause operations and have our staff isolate while further investigation took place. Due to confidentiality with individual’s personal health information it was decided it was best to inform all guests over the period in question of a possible exposure, and under VCH guidelines the need for those guests to self-monitor (not to self-isolate). At the same time, we wanted to ensure our staff were safe and healthy, and any who were uncertain went for testing. During this time, we have been evaluating each step in our operations, and although we were following recommended guidelines we still looked to improve. We have decided to move forward by only offering private boats for the remainder of the season. This decision was made due to the high case load province wide. We continue to assess all our procedures and adapt to new protocols that we feel will provide a safer experience for both guests and staff. We acknowledge that this pandemic is a reality we will have to live with for the foreseeable future, and that we will have to navigate the challenges and risks associated with continuing to operate and providing a fun and exciting tour for all rafters. We have come out of this experience better ready to understand and plan for the risks of this pandemic.
