We had an amazing time on the Rockies Classic Tour thanks to Ryan! His a-game story telling, humour and adventurous spirit really elevated the experience.

Over the 4 days we travelled a significant distance from Van and up through the Rockies, but the itinerary was great in that we had a sight to see or a food stop every 1-2 hours or so, making the drive enjoyable (especially with Ryan’s stories and knowledge!). Special shout-out to our driver, Yi, as well!

Definitely recommend opting in to the combo add ons and doing the Sulfur Mountain Gondola in Banff and the Columbia Ice fields glacier walk.

I attended the new Taste of the Wild 5-Day Rockies tour and it was the best experience ever. Everything was super organized, Janelle our tour guide was an absolute super hero and managed to drive the bus, tell us stories and interesting facts, keep an eye on the daily schedule and the timing of every stop we made. We got to see all the major spots in Banff and Jasper, but also had an amazing time in Kelowna, as well as on our last day in Kamloops and back. We were also blessed with an amazing constellation of people that had joined this tour, and I think it is safe to say we all became friends throughout this magnificent experience. Everyone who thinks about going to the Rockies, don't hesitate to book this tour!!

Recently, my husband and I was truly delighted with our unforgettable Western Canada experience. From Aug 13 to 16, we joined Tour Guide, Becky, and Bus Driver, Ye, on the Classic Rockies Mountain Tour. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, engagement and laughter we encountered on our trip, all completed in a timely manner. And if things didn't go as planned due to traffic, the appropriate adjustments were made with regular updates.

Becky is so much fun and definitely a natural in her presence as Tour Guide. She made the effort to learn everyone's name, their interests and provided great recommendations. She also kept bus load of 37 people entertained with music requests, games, trivia and fun facts. Ye is gifted at managing those sometimes narrow roads up the mountain. He neatly loaded and unloaded our luggage and kept the bus nice and cool before we boarded to our stop. Definitely appreciated!

Overall, we had an amazing trip, we went in with low expectations and everything surpassed our expectations with amount of sights to see, quality of care and new memories created. The accommodations and breakfast were pretty decent, too! And of course, you want to stay longer at each stop, but with the amount of sights to visit, you can't, so everything is perfectly timed to optimize your Vancouver and Alberta journey.

I did the Rocky Mountains Summer Explorer tour (4D/3N) with West Trek/Discover Canada tours in August. Our tour guide was Natalie.

The tour was well organized and matched the itinerary on the website. I was with a group of 50 people or so, so everything was well coordinated/timed and felt very safe. The Jasper and Bannf portions of the trip were lovely— great views and some cool activities (definitely do the Columbia ice fields ice explorer)! We got breakfast at the hotel on most days and that was a really nice add-on to have! We also had a great driver who did his best to drive us to all the spots on time.

I did feel the trip was very, very rushed— especially the time we got at the two main attractions. We were in Jasper for only an hour :( on day 2 and on day 3 at Banff we spent the afternoon rushing from Lake Louise to Lake Morraine to Lake Emerald (about 30-45 mins at each lake). There’s a lot of driving and when you get to the attractions there isn’t enough time! It felt like we were on a countdown clock and rushing to the next place to check things off the itinerary.

Also, the hotel accommodation provided at Banff wasn’t good. We stayed outside of downtown Banff in a place with no fans or air conditioning in peak summer. It wasn’t what was committed to us when we booked our tour. This was a big letdown!

I would do this tour only if you’re really pressed for time and need to cover the Rockies quickly. But if time isn’t a constraint, pick something else that’ll allow you to really enjoy Bannf and Jasper, partake in activities (canoe and paddle boarding), explore the local trails and also enjoy the downtown scene.

Whistler Adventure Trip - There was some miscommunication between the bus driver and the guides when it was time to visit the Train Wreck site. Although our guide Marcos tried reaching him, they had no other alternative to consider. They didn't have a backup plan ready.
I was disappointed with the outcome. Instead of wasting our time waiting for the bus, my friends, I, and the others on the trip, explored Whistler village a little more. Our guide Joanne recommended us some nice places such as bars, and restaurants or to go on a hike around Lost Lake for those who didn't take this short trail.

Apart from that incident, Whistler is worth a visit. If we went on the hike to the Train Wreck site and the Sea To Sky Trail, then I would have fully enjoyed this trip and have given this review 4 or even 5 stars.

We went on the 2-day camping trip to Tofino with Joe Denunzio as our guide. He was 10/10! Trip went seemless, he had lots of information about Vancouver Island as we were driving to Tofino. The journey was made fun with music, he made regular stops along the way so the total journey wasn't too long. When we got to the camp site, WestTrek had tents, sleeping bags and sleeping mats for us. The campsite was really nice, it was beside the ocean and had bathrooms and showers ($2 per 2 minutes). Joe was really accomodating, most of the group wanted to go to the brewery, but 2 people wanted to go to TacoFino and he dropped them off on the way. Some people wanted to stay at the campsite and do their own thing. We were given info on different add ons we could choose - surfing, bear watching, kayaking. Joe made a Whatsapp for the group and we got regular info like how long we were allowed to spend in each place, the times the bus was leaving at the following day, etc. We used it for sharing pictures too. Joe also added an extra stop where we did a short hike at Cox Beach. He added another stop on the way home to Rathtrevor Beach as we had extra time. You can find Sand Dollars here.
Overall, really enjoyable trip, no issues at all, and it was all thanks to Joe and a nice group of people.

I went on the Rockies Summer Explorer tour, and the itinerary is great for a 4-day trip. My only concern is that we spent too little time at some of the main attractions, like Moraine Lake and the town of Banff. Maybe the schedule could be rearranged to allow a little more time at those iconic places. The hotels and the bus were good. Our guide, Madalena, was exceptional. She speaks multiple languages and is very friendly, enthusiastic, funny, and caring about her group. She shared fascinating knowledge about historical events during our ride and did her best to accommodate the needs of everyone in the group. She definitely contributed to an overall great experience.

Thanks so much Becky! I learned a lot of very exciting things on our way. Even though we sat a long time in the bus, I guess it was necessary in order to see all the stunning lakes, waterfalls and landscapes. Of course the rocky mountains are something fantastic to see but a good guide makes the tour even more memorable and fun! Thank you for your honesty in conversations and for sharing your personality. You're the most confident and adorable guide I've ever had!

I am really thankful to have the opportunity as a UBC VSP student to go for the Rockies (Birch) Tour with my friends - 10/8/23 to 14/8/23 conducted by Merit Travels.

I had a very enjoyable and wonderful time exploring and immersing myself in nature, something that I don't get to do often back in my home country!

Would love to give a special shout out to my awesome tour guide, Natasha Goy for bringing us around and taking care of us over the past 4 days!

It was definitely not easy for her to look after close to 50 of us, but she did it - Kudos to her for that!! She had been very engaging  throughout the trip, always bringing fun, laughter and joy to us.

Furthermore, Natasha is very dilligent in carrying out her responsibilities as a tour guide. She conscientiously does her research on places of interest and other fact checks, to provide us with the most relevant and updated information. Really appreciate her meticulous care for us as well.

Once again, thank you so much Natasha for everything! Would undoubtedly recommend her as a tour guide for all :)

Got to see almost all of Canadas nature highlights in just one trip. The weather played a big factor for our great experience. Becky is a really enthusiastic tour guide, you can see how much she loves her job. Lin was a great bus driver, the silent hero. Both were always helpful. Thank you for the great experience!
Something i wish would be better is to go to the lakes right when the sun shines exactly on them. This gives a completely different shine to their beauty and changes everyones perceptions. For example we could have been at peyto pake maybe half an hour or an hour earlier to experience the lakes in its prime time.
Maybe try planning the trip and times at the lakes according to the suns position in different seasons.
