An awesome tour. Insightful, historical, and captivating. The story of "George" as depicted by Mark Turpin (hats off to you mate!) kept the audience engaged; laughing at all the right moments and solemnly quiet at the hardships and experiences of the residence of old Gastown. Coming from Australia we didn't know what to expect and we are not usually the... More

Met by a guide in front of the cathedral, while the bells were tolling. Led on through back alleys and streets as he told stories about the characters and stories of old Vancouver. It was an awesome experience, would definitely reccomend it.

I found this tour to be fun and informative. The tour guide (Will) was very personable and pleasant, very accommodating and helpful, and really enthusiastic about the subject matter. He presented historical data in a unique and entertaining way so that I felt I could almost see what Vancouver was like 100 years ago. And if you've never been to... More

We booked this for a work function and everyone couldn't stop talking about what a great time we had. We tailored our own tour due to time limits but Will was amazing and really showed us around our backyard (something that you often take for granted living in a city). I can't wait to do another on of the tours... More

This tour is something different, your host and guide for the tour remains in character for the whole of the journey. My wife and I were mesmerised by Sarah and she had everyone entranced when she broke into song. This is a great way to experience Gastown and learn a little history and be entertained.

This is an entertaining educational two hours done on foot in and/or around Gastown. The difference how prohibition came to be and then ceased to be in B.C., juxtaposed with the history with the grand experiment south of the border is very interesting. The tour guide was excellent, the walking was not taxing and the group all seemed to enjoy... More

I booked this tour spontaneously and it was such a nice surprise. You walk through the city, learn it's history with a guide that really draws you into the atmosphere. We did the prohibition tour and got to hear about the mob, the mayors and the gold rush. I highly recommend!

This tour was not what I expected, as it is narrated by a live guide who plays the role of a Gastown citizen. That being said, I was completely wrapped up in the story and amazed at the wealth of historical anecdotes provided by the end of this tour. This is clearly a well-researched and interesting tale of what life... More

We did the Lost Souls of Gastown walking tour and thought it was fantastic! Corwin was the actor playing the part of "George" and he did an amazing job of keeping everyone entertained. His storytelling brought the whole history of the place to life. It was funny and moving at the same time, and was also a great way of... More

I highly recommend this tour. It was so much more than I expected due to the personal aspect. The owner of the Penthouse Cabaret (Danny Filippone) led the tour along with a retired policeman who used to conduct raids on the place! Danny's love and passion for his family and it's lengthy history in Vancouver is very engaging. Wonderful stories... More

Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries.
