What a wonderful way to round off a warm day in Vancouver The pool is well supervised and there was a relaxing atmosphere even though it was very busy. Felt relaxed after leaving on all our visits with family.

Our two year old had a great time with my wife and friend. Lots of room for every level and not too cold. Reasonably priced with friendly staff.

On a warm day you could happily stay all day. The pool is enormous and the views are stunning. We really envy the locals who can, and obviously do, come regularly. You need to bring a picnic and make the most of it.

What a breathtaking sight to swim in this huge heated (78F) pool with the ocean and mountains surrounding you. We went and spent a few hours there and enjoyed it. They also rent towels for tourists like us who decide on a whim to go take a dip! Very clean pool with lanes for swimmers doing laps. Only downside is... More

Came to this pool because I was promised a saltwater pool by the beach and a great place for the family and while the pool was massive it has a weird lap lane in the middle that blocks the shallower areas from the slides. The only way to go between the two areas is to swim all the way to... More

Kits Pool is amazing, with gorgeous views of English Bay, Stanley Park, downtown Vancouver and Grouse Mountain in the distance. The original pool was built more than 70 years ago. It is 137.5 meters long and is the largest in Canada. Entrance fees are reasonable and passes are available for purchase, making it even more economical, if you swim often.... More

A friend of mine who is an avid swimmer took me to this pool during the heat wave last month. What a great pool. It has been there a long time and you did not see many pools like this in the world anymore. Olde World

Kits Pool is an old cement outdoor pool which has been around over 70 years. It has been modernized and has salt water in it. Place for young and old to enjoy!

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
