We visited with a large group on a Saturday afternoon. The family rate ended up being cheaper than the group rate. The setting and location were perfect with partly sunny skies and great views of the ocean and Vancouver skyline. While I did not end...More
Kitsilano Pool has been recently renovated and improved. The classic showboat still sits in the middle for shows throughout the summer. So much view for a summer pool to enjoy and a beach beside it if you want a sandy experience too.
The pool in our hotel was tiny, pool in stanley park was crowdy, so our concierge advised us to go there. It’s around 20min by car, 6cad, along the beach, parking to let your car. The pool is outside, & huuuge. Different lines: good swimmers,...More
There’s something very understated about this wonderful pool. It’s full of families, real swimmers, and sunbathers, happily sharing a monumental swim space. I couldn’t get over the size - 137 m or 150 yards. You need quarters for the lockers.
Knowing our kids love to swim we headed for this pool with the hopes of catching good views along the way. The pool was fun and they loved it. We were worried about our stuff and should have gotten a locker. Views were ok, smoke...More
A friend of mine pointed out this pool at a biking distance from where we lived and I am glad I sampled it. Swimming in a very long pool is so much more enjoyable than having to turn every 25m. Even though the pool is...More
Pool was lovely, not too cold, loads of space, great location. Good changing rooms, and really good value for money. Perfect for a cool down on a hot August day. Not much seating round the pool, but we found a spot on the grass.
A wonderful pool. Crystal clear and cool. Great for doing laps, even if each length is almost 7 times that of my local pool and seems to take forever. Family entry is $3.07 each, which is amazing value. Locals are so lucky to have this...More
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a
relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
