It seems that Hill’s has become more of a tourist stop than an art gallery. While it has a broad selection of First Nation Art their prices put it more in the affordable souvenir category. Stop in at some of the nearby galleries to see...More

I recently purchased a silver ring from Hill's while visiting their Gastown store...but managed to lose it because it was a little too big. Entirely my own fault, but when I contacted the store about getting a replacement - and having it sent to Australia...More

We bought our Cowichan sweaters here 25 years ago and they are still going strong. The store has not changed much. They still carry a good selection of sweaters, as well as many other First Nations carvings and jewelry. The store assistants are all friendly...More

Gastown has a certain charm, a cobble-stone street, a fairly new (1973) Steam Clock, loads of tourist shops, restaurants and a few distinctive, eclectic and memorable stops to make - Hills Native Art and Gallery is one of these stops, perhaps the one. If you...More

In the main tourist shopping street in Gastown. Good selection of all types of art with some artists in attendance. We bought calendar and cards.

We had a one day stay in Vancouver, awaiting the departure of our cruise. We had decided that on this trip we would buy some native art - preferably in Alaska. I had researched galleries both in Vancouver and further north. Hill's was mentioned online...More

I did not buy but loved the wood native art. Feeling pretty poor after more than 2 weeks of travel. Don't know where we would put it. Worth checking out! Great variety.

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of
