I had the pleasure of going on one of the Lower Lonsdale tours. We got to explore many of the great places at the Lonsdale Quay, as well as some other unique stops in the lower lonsdale area. The Two Daughters Bakeshop was a great little gluten-free bakery that, as a North Vancouver local myself, I didn't know about until this... Our food tour started at the Waterfront Station and our group leader, Jewel, gave us some history on the station itself. She then took our group to several different stops, all of which were different but at the same time very interesting. She provided us information about the food, the restaurant, and had a good relationship with the restaurant staff.... More

Very well organized! Our guide Brent was amazing, very animated and personable. The food stops were delicious. It was great to be a tourist in my own city!!! Can't wait to do Little Italy.

We took this tour on a Saturday afternoon. Our guide was Jewel, owner of Taste Vancouver Food Tours. What an awesome couple of hours! We visited 12 eateries in and around Lonsdale Quay and sampled the fare at each. 12 new places to go back to and visit!!!! And as a bonus we got a history lesson from Jewel on... More

The tour was a lot of fun and had a good pace of interspersing facts while walking between food tastings. The loop back for desserts seemed a little rushed though. For the price, I felt like it was a pretty good value and would recommend to other to try.

My wife and I did this tour on the weekend and had a lovely time on this sunny afternoon. Our guide was upbeat and kept things moving along at a steady pace without feeling rushed. Each owner had a true passion for their food and there were a few spots I didn't even know about and I live on the... More

What a great afternoon tour with Mateo and accompanied by Jewel the tastevancouverfoodtour proprietor. Mateo had lots of great information and history about each establishment and delivered his message in most entertaining way. The food was excellent! A good variety of different tastes and arranged in a way that made sense in a visual, geographical, and palatable way. A must... More

I did this tour with my 2 teenage sons and given the price I was disappointed with quantity of food. I had to buy them something to eat on way home!! I've been on several other food tours and the opposite has always been true. Also, one of my sons doesn't drink alcohol and there was no alternative offered at... More

Dear Sandra, I think your review may have been for another company? We do not have Caribbean food and we only have one beer tasting on our tour and we do not finish our tour with drinks. Thank you. More

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
