Vancouver Foodie Tours offers food tasting and cultural walking tours, introducing locals and visitors to one-of-a-kind dishes that define Vancouver's culinary scene. You will indulge in a feast for their eyes, belly and mind, tasting signature dishes at award-winning Vancouver gourmet restaurants, food shops and food trucks. Learn about the origin of ingredients, how dishes are prepared, as well as the history, culture and architecture of Vancouver. This is the best way to see and taste Vancouver!

We offer four delectable Foodie Tours:

GASTRONOMIC GASTOWN TOUR - Discover Gastown's best eating and drinking establishments. Savour gastronomic delights and learn about the neighbourhood's storied past. Experience some of Vancouver's hottest restaurants that local foodies adore.

GRANVILLE ISLAND MARKET TOUR - This tour showcases a cornucopia of fine foods from independent farmers and food artisans throughout Vancouver. Touring the Granville Island Public Market will be one of the most authentic ways to experience Vancouver - after all, what better way to feel the pulse of a city than to immerse yourself in the action?

WORLD'S BEST FOOD TRUCK TOUR - This tour takes you on a two-hour tasting tour of Vancouver's multicultural curbside kitchens while learning about the tricky business of operating gourmet food trucks in Vancouver.

GUILTY PLEASURES GOURMET TOUR - Showcasing over five of downtown Vancouver's award-winning restaurants and food shops, you will sample gourmet food paired with optional wines and beer, meet award-winning food artisans and learn about Vancouver's food culture, history and architecture.

WHAT TO KNOW - The World's Best Food Truck Tour and Granville Island Market Tour are proud members of the CTC's Canadian Signature Experience program. Our tours are two to three hours in duration and provides sufficient food such that a meal afterwards is not necessary.

Turns out Vancouver is the 3rd largest food truck capital! We had a great guide, June. She was full of recommendations for everyone in the group depending on what they were craving . We all met in front of Japadog and started the tour off with 1/2 of a Berkshire pork hotdog-devine! We then headed over to Robson Square and... More

We really loved this tour, hosted by Sarah. She was entertaining and knowledgable and so enthusiastic about the food and produce. The samples were delicious. Definitely recommend this tour.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vancouver. Our wonderful guide Sarah was a passionate 'foodie' and extremely knowledgable. The tastings were very generous and Sarah was able to tell us about each product, it's origin, process to the end product and a background history of the producer. Definitely a 5 star experience. I'd recommend doing the tour... More

A friend and I were visiting Vancouver and i found this tour on Viator through Trip Advisor. For roughly $50 per person (CAD), we had a well-informed and friendly tour guided by Lisa that introduced us to the dynamic food truck scene in Vancouver. It was a unique and interesting way to visit a city. Lisa discussed the truck scene... More

Good tour, Lisa did a great job of getting around to all the members of the group and making sure everyone felt included. Did the Gastown tour and while it's a small area (in comparison to other food tours in other cities), it's full of different eateries that made it nice throughout.

Vancouver Foodie Tours have a few different tours available. I went on the Granville Island Market Tour. I always enjoy a great food tour. It's a good chance to find out about local specialities and hear a little history of the area. Johanna was an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Not only did she understand how each food item was put together,... More

Fantastic tour and highly recommended. It is not so much of a walking tour as simply an eating tour. The total walking distance was actually very short, and easily manageable for anyone of minimal fitness and above. Don't expect to walk off during the tour the calories you will take on! The pricing was extremely reasonable, considering the amount of... More

Our group of four did the Granville Island Market Tour. Our tour guides did a great job and we enjoyed all the foods that were part of the tour. I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the area and try more tours! We were in the area for a cruise to Alaska. Granville Island has much to... More

We decided to do a foodie tour in Vancouver and called the Vancouver Foodie Tours for reservations. We contacted the number on the brochure and spoke to "Abel" who set us up for our tour. We were in Vancouver but their office was in Toronto. Although we ordered the Gastronomic Gastown Tour and paid for this tour, we actually were... More

Our group of 4 were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of food samples we tasted during this tour. Jenny was such a good tour guide and ensured every single person was catered for. This tour is a must for every tourist.

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
