To get good views over the city you need to visit on a clear day. Once up there, there are some amazing views. Bit of a gift shop on the observation deck but no food.

This is the first place we went to after landing in Vancouver for the firs time. Your ticket gets you up there numerous times in a day if you so wish. We went 2x, one daylight and one evening. We preferred the daylight this way...More

The Vancouver Lookout happened to be part of our half-day city tour of Vancouver with City Line Westcoast Tours. We were fortunate to have a beautiful clear day for our visit. My wife and I always take advantage of high observation towers, whether they be...More

The lookout is located at 555 West Hastings Street just a short walk from the historic gas clock in Gastown. Admission tickets are reasonable, and there are senior discounts, and best of all, the ticket is valid for all day, so you can come and...More

This is a good way to get a 360-degree view of Vancouver, but I wouldn't call it a "must". I have seen other similar towers (such as CN Tower) in other big cities, and was not as impressed with the Lookout. I was able to...More

Having spent several days in Vancouver it was interesting to spot the landmarks and places of interest from the lookout. We thought it was reasonably priced especially as you could (we didn’t) revisit - it would have been nice to go back and see the...More

This was part of a city tour we did and gave us a great view of the city we had just driven around. Our tour guide got us past the line of tourists waiting to go up so I highly recommend going through a tour...More

We had a wonderful experience using the Vancouver Lookout. There wasn't any line when we arrived at 3 PM and the staff was very helpful. The sights were fantastic as was the information included at many of the windows.

We visited the tower on Hastings Street in the evening and stayed for dessert in the restaurant. A wonderful vista of the city and the surrounding mountains, waterfront, sea, and city. Worth the ride to the top across from our hotel.

Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of
