nice way to see the city! I loved the info cards they have at the top that tell you about the spots you're looking at. The ticket purchasing process is self-service at an iPad, but there is an employee watching you do it and helping so it seemed pointless to do it yourself. kinda expensive for tickets but it's a cool thing to do on a clear day

Great location but a bit of an odd experience as we arrived at 4:20pm to hear that the happy hour space inside the restaurant was full... Waited 15 minutes before we saw a family of 4 leave and asked to take their seat... The response was: it's too late as the last call for happy hour is at 4:30pm... and the happy hour space closes at 5pm... Asked for a regular drink and were placed in the stationary space so without the 360 degree view paying full price... Very average experience so but great view from the floor!

Your website says you close at 6pm. I called ahead and you said you close at 6pm. I get there and you’re closed at 4pm “due to an event.” Waste of time.

Nice views of the city from the lookout and a free audio guide is available. The main downside is the way in which you buy tickets- it is cashless and self service through an iPad. If you are using a travel money card quite often they do not allow online purchases, in which case you would not be able to enter.

The most fantastic view on Vancouver. And the staff is friendly and helpful. While we were still struggling finding our confirmation email, a staff member offered help and told us our booking was already on their system. Great!

What a fantastic view of Vancouver and beyond! You could go at your own pace, narrated via cell phones and the staff were helpful! Buying tickets was easy and no lines! Well worth the money!

The view from the tower is fabulous and well worth the admission cost, however the restaurant was very expensive.
There is not much choice for a light snack and unless you order two courses you cannot sit in the restaurant area, you will be moved to the bar area - we couldn’t understand the difference as the whole floor-plate revolves anyway!!
Guessing the best time to eat in restaurant is at night, but be prepared to spend!

Decided to visit here as my hotel was across the street. I easily purchased a ticket online for $20 and was able to ride the elevator quickly as there was no line to go up.
If you do not have much time to spend in Vancouver and are staying near the Lookout, visiting here is an excellent way to get a sense of the city's layout. The views are stunning, especially towards the north where the mountains are, while there are good explanations of the city's various neighbourhoods and areas.
That said, in my opinion, this is not among the most interesting things to do in Vancouver. Though I had a fun experience, I enjoyed myself more in many other parts of the city during my five-day stay.

Where is the best place to park?
tshep42
Halifax, Canada3,603 contributions
It is right in downtown Vancouver but we found a parking spot on the street less than a block away. There may be some parking garages around, but depending on the time of day and day of the week you're there, you should be able to find a parking meter within a reasonable distance.

I want to buy 2 tickets for my friends who are moving to Vancouver next week. If I order in advance, are the tickets open? Or do I have to select a date on booking?

Hello!
Tickets do not expire for up to a year. You can purchase in advance and do not have to select a date to use them. Looking forward to having you visit.

My family and I will be visiting Vancouver Lookout in July. We would like to stop in at the restaurant at the top for a drink and snack in the late morning or early afternoon. Do we need reservations? Also, is going to the revolving restaurant enough to see the sites of Vancouver or is it best to go to the observation deck too.

Hi Tom,
We operate separately from The Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant. If you have any inquiries regarding dining there, you would need to contact them directly.
However, as for view; ours is the exact same as theirs. Although with our tickets you are able to return multiple times within the same day. We also offer complimentary guided tours to where our tour guides point out different cities and building while providing interesting facts.
Hope this information helps, and please feel free to contact us again with any other questions.
Cheers,
The Vancouver Lookout

Can you see northern lights in Vancouver
And if yes in late November
Mimosa71
Vancouver, Canada2 contributions
Good question. Typically not, it's not common to see them in the city. However, Vancouver has seen the Northern Lights in the past year. They are normally experienced in the northern part of British Columbia.

Oi Liliane!

Hi,
Is the lookout wheelchair and scooter accessible?
Thanks!

I actually didn't go to the lookout floor because it was really expensive and we went to the revolving restaurant that it's a floor upstairs from the lookout deck and had a drink, but I do believe they are both wheelchair accessible, they have an elevator and it is really wide

There is a restaurant in the tower you can find the menu and reviews on line try "Top of Vancouver", though as others have said there are lots nearby
