The Lookout on top of Harbour Centre - A great place for a 360-degree view of Metro Vancouver and beyond - on a clear day. If the weather is not cooperating wait. The glass elevator ride takes 40-seconds to rise just over 553 feet to the observation deck. Tip: go early in the day and then return in the evening... More

I'm terrified of heights so I couldn't watch going up the elevator, and could only watch the end part of coming down, but we went up in the afternoon and again after dark and both times were pretty epic!

With the helpful staff we arranged a ticket to view Vancouver on a clear sunny day. Great photo opportunity to view all the landmarks of Vancouver. The ticket is valid for all day so will be able to revisit at sunset or night time. The 40 second elevator ride is well organised and the view amazing.

I always like a tall lookout - it really gives you a good overview of a new city and this was no exception. The elevator to the lookout was a little more scary than normal - just close your eyes or face the wall and it will be fine! One of the staff gave us a short tour at the... More

We visited the Lookout just before sunset and had some stunning 360 views of Vancouver. Watching the sunset over the city was beautiful and would definitely recommend. We also visited the restaurant above the lookout for a coffee and dessert which gave the same stunning views.

Great 360 view of Vancouver. Don't know how much it cost to go up to the lookout since it was part of our tour. However I wouldn't have done this had it not been part of the tour. It was beautiful to see but once we got in a few pictures it was done. When we went the elevators were... More

Tower has a great view of city and has a small glass floor on the top. You can get a earphone and a small monitor for a short and useful information about different view. The big windows give you chance to see all beauty of town. A gift shop is in the main level for buying souvenir.

Great view with a very kind staff. Enjoyed drinks and dessert. Absolutely loved the Tiramisu. It was a peaceful environment and our servers, Kevin and Raj, were considerate and pleasant in communication.

Great views! The gift shop was surprisingly affordable. Staff in the gift shop fairly indifferent. A definite must do.

The Vancouver Lookout advertises ‘You’ve never seen Vancouver till you’ve seen it like this’ Well, maybe if you flew in in a helicopter, or something. The lift is glass-sided, to give you a foretaste of what’s to come. You don’t spend long in it, though; it takes only 40 seconds to whisk you up 550 feet. At the top, there’s... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
