The area

Address
Neighborhood: Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.

I love this stadium and really want to support it BUT a group of us attended the Rugby 7s over Easter weekend and almost froze to death both days! It was absolutely freezing in the stadium and we all agreed the frigid temperatures took away from the enjoyment of the event. And to top it off, none of the sinks had warm water so we were forced to wash our hands in ice cold water and that just added to the chill. In keeping with Rugby 7 tradition, our group had arranged costumes for each day of the tournament but opted to wear heavy coats and gloves on the second day because it was too damn cold!!!

It is the headquarters of the Lions local rugby union team. It is also used for large concerts. At the entrance are several statues depicting the Canadian hero who lost a leg and set out to make a Marathon to raise funds for the fight against his illness. I didn’t finish the Marathon but they got it held every year in many Canada Marathon fundraising sites.

We had a fantastic time at BC Place Stadium for the Leagues Cup 2024 match between Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Club Tijuana! From the comfortable seating to the excellent food and beverage options, everything was well-organized and catered to fans. The atmosphere was incredible, and we left with great memories of both the match and the venue. Highly recommend visiting BC Place for any event!

I was expecting more of a hockey arena type of feel. This was total opposite. It's not steep like that so you don't feel like you are going to fall down the stairs. :) Feels very open and actually comfortable. Great place for concerts, loved it. Bring $$$$ the food and liquor VERY expensive.

Got to play in BC Place for Clearly Contacts as well as watch WCF team. Good clean fields. washrooms are lots around so everyone can have their pick of the place. Turf fields and well kept, they are fluffy! Would come back here again but you would always have to pay. If you get to rent here it's worth it.

Took in a whitecaps game here. Very different experience than the premier league, but lots of fun. Made to feel very welcome by the southsiders and at half time switched my seat to sit with them as they were having a blast.

My wife and I attended a Whitecaps match on a Sunday. We had Club seats which provided an excellent view of the pitch as well as providing comfortable, padded seats. Staff both outside and inside were plentiful and friendly. The open roof helped provide a nice atmosphere. Will likely attend again for another sporting event.

I watched the BC Lions football match against the Rough Riders here and was seriously impressed by how modern and aesthetic the stadium was. The atmosphere sadly was dull due to the lack of fans and enthusiasm, but the stadium itself has plenty of potential. The food stands were varied and well priced. The field and facilities were all in good condition.

I wouldn't ever go back to BC Place again. I cannot tell you how hot is was up on 4th level, on a sunny day, with the roof closed. I would like my money back it was so unbearable and with 2 small children? Absolutely horrible. I asked a security guard and she said they normally open the roof and he didn't know why it wasn't. It was like a sauna and I would guess about 35 to 40 degrees. EVERYONE was sweating and fanning themselves. How uncomfortable! We were like this from 6:15 until about 9:15 - 3 hours when the sun finally went down and made it bearable though still very muggy!

We're sorry to hear your experience at the Taylor Swift concert was less than amazing. The day of the Taylor Swift concert was certainly a very hot day in downtown Vancouver, with temperatures recorded in the high twenties, and very little wind. In addition, the stadium was full to capacity which added to the interior temperature. Unfortunately, we were not able to open the roof on this occasion, as the concert set-up required an indoor environment. However, in anticipation of the warmer temperatures that evening, our Stadium Operations team activated the fan system and opened the louvers to bring fresh air into the building. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to explore ways to improve our guest experience in the future.
