Great spot for conventions and events! Highly recommend coming here when an event's here. Great facilities.

...but much more. Many trade shows are held here, right in the main part of the city. Best to approach from Beatty Street if walking. There are good restaurants close by as well as the Stadium Skytrain Station. Parking in downtown is difficult and expensive..

I feel that the seats are so small and you art basically touching the person next to you. At a concert it is hard to get up and dance in your seats. That sound is not that amazing there. Not bad, but not good either.

My daughter living in Vancouver took us to a Whitecaps soccer game and what a fun night. The atmosphere was amazing with the crowd well versed in their tribal chants at any given time. Very funny. The stadium and staff were well organised and entering...More

Very nice venue but a bit short of water. I found a water fountain but no water filling stations. There may be some around, but with the crowds at the Lions football game, I couldn't locate any. Lots of opportunities to buy beer or wine...More

The staff here are the best not too mention the people. We were here for A football game, my spouse dropped his wallet out and some person turned it in all intact. We didnt realize till we were an hour out of town. The staff...More

We happened to be in town at the same time Luke Bryan was scheduled to play BC Place, so I treated my country-loving wife to his concert. The thing that worried us the most was that the baby still needed mama on a regular basis,...More

Vancouver CONCACAF qualification Jan 2012 (3 Replies)
Planning to go to the CONCACAF soccer qualification tournament in Jan 2012, at B.C. Place Stadium in Vancouver . Where would be good places to stay? Looking for safe, clean, low-cost, near the stadium? Recommendations? We are flying from the midwest US, and are very surprised at price difference flying into Vancouver versus Seattle. Vancouver flights cost more than twice as much as Seattle for us. Is there a reason why we shouldn't fly into Seattle, rent a car, and drive to Vancouver?...More

I ditto Amtrak Cascades (not their busses.) 4 hours journey. For low cost, ditto the YWCA. You could also look at Hampton Inn which is a couple of blocks from BC Place and includes breakfast. Both are about 500 meters from BC Place. How long are you going to be here? the whole 10 days? A car would definitely be counter productive. Vancouver is completely walkable and public transit is good. But it's a rainy time of year, so you will want to bring clothes that you can layer and you...More
