If you are like me, you are probably saying "I've lived here for years, what can they tell me I don't already know?". Short answer - lots. Just because we live here doesn't mean we are keeping up with all the changes in this rapidly growing city. Also, interesting to find out about all the FREE stuff available. In addition,... More

Great location and very friendly staff. Be sure to ask staff about current events, attractions and walking maps. They will certainly have plenty of tips

Well located close to the harbour and Canada Wharf with attentive, friendly staff quick and keen to provide tourist information to make the most of your visit to Vancouver. Our stop in here came in very useful to plan our week in the city and to make the most of the time available.

Staff were very knowledgable and helpful! I recommend this as your first pit stop the minute you step into Vancouver. Regret not coming in earlier!

Very helpful, excellent advice on places and things to do and the best value ways to do them. We bought a bunch of the Compass public transport day passes here because you can select which day you use them, not limited to the day of purchase.

Our party of six wanted some options for an evening harbor tour, so we stopped by the visitor centre before going to dinner. It's centrally located and filled with brochures. There were two people behind the counter when we arrived, with about eight visitors in line. It looked like there was room for several more staff members as the visitor... More

Whether you are a first timer to Vancouver or just need info on sightseeing, accommodation or transportation in the Vancouver area, this is the place to seek assistance. On both occasions, we found the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable without any hint of pressure selling. It was a bonus to receive a discount on all tour tickets as well (don't... More

Highly recommend you stop here to discuss your Vancouver visit even if you have researched the area. Staff and volunteers are incredibly helpful and will offer great tours with trusted vendors. While we found a Butchart Gardens tour cheaper on the web, the LandTours was just what we ordered.

This office has people working and volunteers and they are always very happy to help. Of course there are some of them more talkative but they all have a lot of patience and they try to do their best to help the tourists. Probably it would be better if the office was a little bit bigger and with more signs... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
