We stopped at this beach for a side trip since we had a little extra time but we did not swim. The beach is a nice beach, and has a lot of volleyball, a snack shop, and a walking path with views of the city....More

This is another FREE of charge attraction in Vancouver. Make sure you see the sunset as it is breathtaking. Lots of people during the summer.

I love Kitsilano Beach, proximity to Granville Island also great. Saw loads of people cycling, running. I was there in the dead of winter and the frosted leaves on the beach were a delight. Clear views over the sea make this a magical experience and...More

Kits beach is nice enough, clean, wide and plenty of logs to perch on. The sea isn’t great for swimming and this isn’t a beautiful beach is the classic sense. Certainly good as far as options in the area go.

Nice beach - rather busy but great beach to chill at on a warm sunny day. Beautiful views of the city and mountains.

We only visited here in the evening but there was still loads going on. Large beach and grass areas. Lots of volleyball being played. We went for dinner at The Local across the road from the carpark.

In summer this is a great place for an evening picnic. The beach is safe for children. There are changing facilities and a playground. The view of the mountains is stunning and there is a free shuttle from downtown to the beach.

Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative
neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture

fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of
Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic
expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a

Yes, both of my dogs were off leash as were many others. Make sure your pups are well-behaved and you will get along just fine.

During the summer usually, but the salt water pool right next door on the beach is kept at 25 degrees (Celsius). It is open May to mid-September.
