We had a wonderful evening. Caitlinn, our guide, was fantastic. We enjoyed all four stops on the tour but the highlight was probably Salt. Highly recommend it!!

This tour was an add on for a conference I attended. There were 55 of us on a bus and unfortunately it was raining the whole night. First stop was Salt where all was set up for us. Three tasty bites (a cheese, a salami and a corned beef) with 3 paired wines. Love the ambiance of the place. Second... More

Went on the Gas town tour Saturday night and had a great time. Six family members and even though we are all born and bred in Vancouver it was still a great experience. Host Carlos was great. Never would have attempted 4 different restaurants in one night. We carried on to a 5th afterward!

I went with a big group of our friends for a birthday. We all live in Vancouver, so we know the area very well. The fun part about this was a lot of us had never been to a lot of these local restaurants, and we got to try a lot of meals we've never tried before! There was a... More

Our tour guide Jewel made our food tasting an everlasting memory for my wife and I celebrating our 35 anniversary. Jewel had extensive knowledge of the history of Downtown Vancouver and the choices for the tastings were both tasty and plentiful. We did the waterfront side of town and we were not disappointed!

We were all so glad that we purchased this foodie tour. What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon in Vancouver. Brent was our tour guide and he was amazing. His knowledge of the history of the Gastown area and his ability to make it interesting and fun were the best part of our afternoon. Oh and of course, the... More

Did the Gastown tasting tour tour with my 22 year old twin daughters. We had a great time, the food was a fantastic variety and the drinks were a mixture of beers, wine and cocktails could not ask for more. Our tour guide Caitlin was super cool and very informative about the area in Gastown. Did a similar tour in... More

Was in Vancouver for a week and went on the Molson brewery tour and was very impressed by the quality of the tour. Our guide, Dustin, was very knowledgeable and informative! He did a great job of showing how the whole brewery operates, and how the brewing brewing process works. The beers at the end were a great finish to... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
