An interesting trip for the end of the day to watch the joggers, power walkers and those learning to tightrope walk. The messages on the 'adopted' benches were poignant. it was a pleasure to see so many people enjoying this area without screaming, horse-play and...More

Such a great spot to have a coffee and enjoy the sea air. How lovely to have this beautiful beach right in the City. We always make a point of going to English Bay and sitting on the beach, whenever we get to Vancouver. Even...More

Out of our 18 days in BC, we walk along the beaches on English Bay. Just amazing to have these beaches available so close to city center. The views are wonderful. During low tide, the waters shadow, thus great for families with young children, The...More

Loved just strolling down the sidewalk infront of the water, so peaceful. Very active area, lots of bikes, joggers, benches and dog walkers. Very clean and well maintained. Incredible sunsets. Lots of pubs/resturants to sit and watch the sun go down......or up.

Take a relaxing walk along the Sunset Beach and English Bay after a long day and watch Sunset. You can see a couple of nice structure right on the beach on your way, as well as a collection of laughing Buddha statutes in the end.

We kept finding this area and beach. We bikes and walked all over this area of town. The laughing men statues are wonderful and an inspiration!

West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along
