The aquarium is amazing. The Amazon display is great, with sloths, anacondas, piranhas, rays and obviously all the fish. The BC coastline display was interesting too. My favorite part was the outside section with the belugas, sea-lions and otters. This isn't a huge aquarium but it is definitely worth the visit!

If I lived in or near Vancouver I would be a member and keep going back! Penguins (hilarious)! Sea Lions, Beluga Whales, dolphins, porpoises, sea otters! Then there are the fish and other aquatic life inside the main building. The world is covered here from African and South American Rivers to the Caribbean, Pacific and Indian Oceans. Obviously they have... More

Not the best aquarium we've been too but it was definitely nice. The 4D experience was pretty good. Recommended!

Its a nice place to visit with family but we really expected more. The highest point of course was the beluga whale but its all. There's a tropical yard inside, that its must be amazing for others, but nothing for those who are brasilian. I prefer anothers aquariums like Barcelona, for example

I had been looking forward to visiting the aquarium after finding out they have beluga whales. The upstairs and underwater viewing areas give you a great chance to watch these amazing creatures. We spent a lot of time outdoors watching the sea lions, false killer whale, porpoises and otters. The inside displays were great too, with snakes, spiders and birds... More

One of the things that makes Vancouver Aquarium one of my favourite place is go lies in the fact that, despite there are always the same attractions to see, there is almost always something new in a seasonal fashion. Our latest visit took place just after Christmas. We were about to see Scuba Claus, which was a bit of a... More

I've been to almost every Aquarium on the West Coast of North America, and this is one of the best. The thing that really sets the Vancouver Aquarium apart is their marine mammals. Not only do they have a wide diversity of marine mammals, including belugas, sea otters, and porpoises, but this is a place you can feel good about... More

My wife and I stopped by over the Christmas holidays as we had some time to kill before heading to another event. Parking is plentiful. Keep in mind that the majority of the parking follows the roadway so at busy time you may have a bit of a walk to the entrance. We ended up parking near Brockton Oval. Pay... More

Very good, with a lot to see! A must go! I regret for not taking the membership option, since its well worth the price and for sure we will come back. Down side: They do put the penguins in early. And since they do make announcements, they should let us know that also.

Staying in Stanley Park

Neighborhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
