Third beach was actually busy today. It was dry, people out walking, cycling and picnicking. A wonderful afternoon out.

My cousin (a local) took us here one evening before a movie in the park. There was a drum rave going on up the beach, but just watching the sun set while dipping in and out of the water was amazing. Its a great place to sit and think in good company.

Its just a (dirty) beach, another beach with sand. Whats so special about it I don't know, the view is along the whole seawall not just here.

The beaches generally are not that great: fairly dirty with off-white sand. Views are good though and when the sun isn't obscured by clouds Third Beach is a good vantage point.

We love having the logs to lean back against when we are on the beach. Great view of downtown Vancouver makes for a good photo op. Lots of people watching, and its nice to see everyone having fun and relaxing. There is a burger shack close by, within walking distance.

This beach is an incredible stopping point if you are walking the Stanley Park seawall. Pick up a bottle of wine, some cheese, and prosciutto before you go and watch the sunset...its incredible! We rented bikes specifically to get to this beach and drank wine while taking in the local vibes. Very cool crowd, good swimming, beautiful scenery!

Whenever I walk the seawall around Stanley Park, I enjoy arriving at Third Beach. That means I am on the homestretch of my journey. I've never seen the sandy beach here near Ferguson Point crowded. It takes a bit more effort to access from Downtown and most people stop at Second Beach to enjoy its myriad attractions, including a seasonal... More

Did I mention I love this beach? Because I do. It's my favourite beach in Stanley Park. I love how it's got a good mix of people, but is not as jam-packed (and annoying) as Second Beach -- probably because it's not as accessible. I love the views that the beach offers. I want to say that I love the... More

Great place with a wonderful view. My favorite beach between the 3 in the area. It is more quiet, the view is wonderful and it is a great place to just have some rest and spend some time while you are doing the Seawall.

A bit of a walk along the seawall to 3rd beach but well worth the effort. Space to stretch out and watch the harbor traffic come and go. Old time concession stand for a snack or coffee. recommended

Staying in Stanley Park

Neighborhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
