I chose Wild Whales due to how close they're located to downtown. I was on the maiden voyage of their newest boat, Jing Yu. Our guides name was Kathryn. The boat was very comfortable and not so packed that I had to compete for a window slot to see the whales. Kathryn was very educated on all local wildlife and... More

Most of the trip was spent speeding thru the water...3 hours to the whale spotting site, 30 minutes there, 3 hours back. We were fortunate to see 2 Humpbacks. And the crew did everything possible to make that happen -- listened to other boats, full speed ahead to where the whales were sighted, kept us informed the whole way. If... More

Our tour took 7 hours because the operators went out of their way to locate, and reach whale sightings. They guide was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. We saw 30-40 orca whales.

Had a wonderful five hour trip out to see the orcas, our guide was Ashley and the love she has for the sea life around Vancouver is evident. We had plenty of sightings of the orcas including a baby, the trip would have been better if we could have seen a humpback, but hopefully I will see one next time... More

Just absolutely fantastic! It was great value for money, very well organised and the staff are very knowledgable friendly and approachable. Would highly recommend. On our trip not only did we see a pod of orcas but also found a lone orca who we had all to ourselves, a humpback and a pod of breaching killer whales. Lots of amazing... More

Fantastic day out, open boat with suits provided, seven of us in the group. The guide, Jessica, and skipper were knowledgable and friendly. The Orcas were very obliging and we spent an hour or so following and watching. Never any problem with crowding. On the way back she spent time with people explaining the pod hierarchy and comparing photos with... More

Our trip with wild whales was amazing! Ashely was our tour guide and she is the most passionate whale watcher I have ever seen. The way she told us about the whales was inspiring and fun. I would definitely recommend a tour with wild whales when you are in Vancouver!

Fantastic day, great experience and staff prepared to go the "extra mile" to ensure customer satisfaction. Put simply good old fashioned service and well accepted by all. To our tour guide extraordinaire Kathryne and skipper Mike a job truly well done 👍

This was a surreal experience. Thanks to Ashley, our naturalist, and captain Mike, we had an outstanding day on the water, surrounded by a number Southern Resident Orcas from J-Pod. The crew was super knowledgeable, and Ashley's love of the whales and efforts to conserve their habitat was very obvious. I cannot say enough good things about Wild Whales; I'm... More

My 2nd trip with this company. Ashley and the Captain are fantastick. We saw numerous pods last year and and a smaller amount this year. Harbour seals were a plenty. Good to see them in a natural environment. A very fun day on the water. So many sights to see along the way. 10 out of 10 for this tour... More

Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere.
