I had an incredible experience on this tour, it definitely exceeded my expectations. I saw plenty of orcas, sea lions and two humpback whales! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to chat with throughout the tour. Also, this company shows respect towards the animals by never chasing them and keeping a good distance. I would highly recommend this to everyone, kid and adult friendly :)

Hi there, Thank you for your wonderful review and recommendation. So glad we were able to meet and exceed your expectations. We are happy you noticed our care and commitment to the whales longterm wellness as well. Sometimes it takes a bit of patients to maneuver around wildlife in a respectful way but overall it is beneficial for everyone. By keeping our distance and quieting our engines we also get some pretty spectacular behaviour and encounters with these majestic beings! Thank you again for your kind words, hopefully we'll see you again soon and can show you even more of what our coast has to offer. We also have a returning customer discount, so let us know!

Great experience ! Went earlier this week and had an amazing time (even despite the smoky conditions from the wild fires). Ashley was really informative and Corby our captain spotted our first whales for us! Would recommend!

Hi Parker, Thanks for your review! So glad you had an amazing time despite the smoke out there last week. Even though visibility was limited we still found whales everyday! Ashley and Corby are both very experienced and fantastic whale spotters. I am sure they had a wonderful time on the water with your group, I will make sure to pass along your positive review. Thank you for the recommendation!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE experience. Took our breath away. The naturalist was so knowledgeable! We found out things about whales and sea life we never knew before as well as the specific families we were seeing that inhabit the bay. We saw so much wildlife. as a vegan its super important to me how others treat animals and this tour was ALL ABOUT THEM. Everything from how they approach the animals with the boat, turning off the engine, our noise levels etc was handled and mentioned as well as final details like the noise of the engine coming above deck as opposed to in the water. Absolutely incredible care. (that being said its not super noisy- average boat noise!) The boat ride is great even when the water is choppy- we had zero sea sickness. Eeveryone is well spaced out in open air vessel and no safety concerns with covid 19. WORTH EVERY PENNY- BOOK WITH WILD WHALES!

Hi, We are so glad you had such an incredible experience with us. All of our naturalists are extremely knowledgeable, have ample experience in and around the Salish Sea. They love sharing their passion for marine life with guests such as yourself. Sounds like you got to see and learn lots the day you came out! As professionals in the ecotourism industry, the longterm health and safety of our surrounding wildlife and ecosystems is an utmost priority. We are so glad you agree, and thank you for acknowledging the care we take around the animals as well as education we try to provide. We love what we do and want to make sure that these breathtaking experiences are available for generations to come. Sea state can be quite variable but, with our open boats yes, sea sickness is pretty uncommon. With our new COVID-19 protocols now we have cut down our passenger load by about 45% on the catamaran vessel, and there is lots of space to spread out! We now also ask all guests to wear face masks in the office and on the boats at all times, and have upscaled our sanitation routines. Hopefully we'll see you again sometime. All the best!

My 6-year old son and I went on the first excursion of the day this past weekend. When you go out for the first tour of the day, you're starting with a blank slate ... no prior whale sighting areas to return to, so you have to try to either spot them or collaborate with other vessels to get sighting information. We had 2 humpback sightings, one mother and calf and a solo whale, then on our way back the crew got word of an orca pod sighting. They were able to get to that location, allowing us to watch them - and hear their amazing vocalizations thanks to a hydrophone that our naturalist Pascal placed in the water - for what felt like close to an hour. We were on the water for almost 4.5 hours, probably longer than most tours, but worth it. It was a great experience and captivating, even for my tired 6-year-old who was the only child on board. Our naturalist was informative and helpful, the captain was excellent and respectful space from the whales was maintained. While recommended social distancing protocols were not really feasible, all of the passengers were very good about wearing masks the entire time. We packed lunch as per instructions, thank goodness because we were out for a long time. Also loved leaving from Granville Island as it was super convenient. Very worthwhile, well managed, wonderful experience.

Great experience. Knowledgeable guide, Captain knew where to take us, the whales are majestic "in real life", and just being at sea is just so relaxing. COVID safety precautions were sufficient too. Just remember to put sunscreen on your noggin if you decide to not wear your hat.
