Considered by many to be one of the best boardwalk hikes around, you will be immersed in the natural serenity of the temperate rainforest. You can take the easy stairs to the beach, where you can gaze at the gentle waves crashing in. During low tide, an inviting passage presents itself so you can make your way to a small island where you may find bald eagles soaring above. Schooners Cove is nothing less than invigorating and rejuvinating. Truly a picturesque adventure.

This was my favorite and most memorable trail of all that were offered in this phenomenal national park! The park is worth a day or more of time to see everything!

This hike is one of my favourites and should not be missed. There are fabulous views of the coast and surrounding beaches. While we were at the lighthouse we saw several gray whales just off the point.

Although the walk was exhausting with many stairs, it was well worth it. The forest was amazing and the beach was gorgeous. We saw starfish and other sea life on the rocks and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Make sure to include...More

1 km each way through lovely rain forest and down to the top end of Long Beach. Not the easiest walk -- two and a half set of down and up steps over streams, but well worth the effort. And the beach end is spectacular,...More

After about a 15-20 minute walk along the trail, the trail head opens up to the ocean. It's absolutely beautiful and very few people so you can have some privacy if you want it.

We really enjoyed walking the raised walkway to the beach. There are a ton of stairs so if you have trouble with stairs this is not the walk for you. The scenery is beautiful and its nice that very little is disturbed. The beach is...More

Great Tidepools, Great beaches and with a bonus it has some Mudflats. Great trail to the beach, easy to walk and numbered planks to help the kids count. Hours worth of interesting things to see and do.

Getting here is half the fun. First you walk through a rain forest (20 minutes?) and then it opens to a spectacular beach with a small island of trees before you. Look to your left and right and more beach. Even more impressive than Long...More

Schooner Cove is a 1km (each way) boardwalk through an amazing old growth forest. Lots of steps up and down and a narrow boardwalk, but a wonderful walk with lots of unique nature to enjoy. The trail finishes at the most amazing beach. We spent...More
