Overview
More
Rainforest Trail has two routes, A & B, both of which fully engulf you in the temperate rainforest full of gigantic western red cedars and western hemlocks. Sparking a sensation of zen, you will be overcome with the nostalgia of your childhood memories, ready to make more. Scan the upper canopy for birds, listen to the trickle of water and smell the life of this highly productive forest. Trail A is located on the opposite side of the highway from the parking lot. Trail B starts from the parking lot.

Two short (about 1km each) looping trails on either side of the highway. The north trail was closed when I was there so I just walked the south trail. It's on a boardwalk all the way and is very easy to walk. Lush temperate rainforest...More

I'm not goi8ng to spoil the surprise by telling you what to expect. You need to be sure footed. Children will love it. Amazing walk trough the rainforest to the beach. Light at the end of the tunnel :)

There are two different trails which winds through stunning West coast rain forest. The trail is fairly easy but it does have a lot of stairs which may be a challenge for some people.

Well defined trail. Only one side of the trail was open (there are 2 trails one on each side of the road). Not the best rainforest trail we've been on, but worth a stop.

We enjoyed our walk through the trees. The rainforests never fail to impress us with their size and beauty. The track was well managed and we could comfortably do the trail.

Beautiful unique trail. It almost seems like another country. Easy for all ages, and not particularly long. Dress comfortably and you'll enjoy the hike. Only a few minutes out of Tofino, do note that you need to pay for parking.

Great scenic trail, even in the rain! Should be easy enough for mobile seniors, kids etc. A little slippery when wet. We did loop B as loop A was closed at the time. Must purchase a national park day pass, available on site.

Maybe we missed something as we only took the "A" trail across the highway. Rainforest trail is one of the most famous trail in PRNP. I admit it is a nice trail and we really enjoy the walk too but you can see similar view...More

this walk which is in two parts , one on either side of the road, is a real education. There are interpretive boards along the boardwalks and stairs that take you deep into the Coastal Rain-forest and old growth . absolutely fascinating. and so peaceful.

Each of the two trails is about 1km long, with boardwalks taking you through amazing forests with huge trees. We meandered slowly (about 1 hour per trail) through each trail, just soaking in the incredible sights. Easy boardwalks with stairs. Our adult daughter with Down...More

It's a short drive from Tofino, towards Uqleut. If you go to the visitors centre you can pick up a free map and all locals should be aware of it.
