We had the pleasure of staying nearby one year but traversed it on a boat this year, seeking out wildlife. Very tranquil on an early sunny morning.

Scenic sea kayaking around all the different islands that make up Clayoquoat Sound. There's a lot of history in this area and any of the local sea kayaking guides will give you bits of it on trips. We did three kayaking trips are were still not bored!

There's work being one on this side of the Clayoquot Sound: fishing docks and service boats. The shoreline is visited frequently by birds: seagulls and herons and more. Water flows down from Lake Kennedy, sometimes quite dramatically, and clouds rise over the mountains beyond, constantly changing scene.

Clayoquot Sound is simply stunning from the peaceful bay with the backdrop of the trees and on to the mountains. Explore by boat or simply enjoy from the shore.

I have explored Clayoquot Sound by kayak a number of times, including this summer, and it is one of my favourite places to go to on Vancouver Island. Of course, Vancouver Island has so many places of extraordinary beauty, especially for kayakers who can access the more remote areas. Clayoquot Sound is relatively accessible (more so than many other special... More

This place is a nature lover's paradise. The ocean inlet views are spectacular. The harbor protects the ocean so there are minimal to no waves. Awesome for kayak adventures, boat trips, bear watching expeditions, hot springs tours, float plane excursions.....etc...etc. LOVE THIS AREA!

We went kayaking in Tofino Harbour / Clayoquot Sound. It's just so beautiful and peaceful that you can't help but relax. It feels like the end of the world. Gorgeous.

Amazing views of the beautiful islands on a gorgeous early October weekend. Go kayaking or on a boat cruise. You surely will not be disappointed. So much wildlife to see.
